In any world, the will of that world naturally repels the intrusion of beings from other worlds. For ordinary creatures from other worlds, this is manifested as erosion of their physical forms, as experienced by Jon. For powerful entities like Demon Gods, the resistance of the World Will intensifies significantly.

Moreover, this is the Sin World, recognized as a place where the World Will is most active. Even the mere presence of a Demon God can trigger a ferocious sandstorm here.

Of course, if a Demon God truly wishes to invade the Wizarding World, there are ways to mask their presence and even remain undetected by the World Will for a short time. However, the Profound Lord currently has no intention of invading the Southern Region. His objective is merely to draw Popoca’s soul into the Abyss, and thus, there is no need for Him to deliberately conceal His aura.

Though this Demon God’s aura is not particularly strong, it has still been detected by the World Will.

“Indeed, it’s the World Will reacting to the presence of a Demon God,” Sanders said with a serious expression, nodding. “We must leave this place. After all, it is the territory of the Extreme Sect. If the World Will exhibits anomalies, even from a continent away, they will still sense it.”

“What about Popoca?” Angel asked, frowning and glancing at Popoca’s corpse nearby.

At that moment, the decaying and grotesque body lay sealed within a block of pale blue ice, a spell of eternal frost cast by Sanders. It was like an ice coffin, forever freezing Popoca’s time at the moment of death.

“His body is still emitting the aura of a Demon God, the source of the World Will’s anomaly. If you take his body with you, it will only make you a target,” Sanders explained. “Let him remain here; there’s no need to bother with it.”

“But if we leave it here, won’t the Extreme Sect find it?” If members of the Extreme Sect come to investigate, the likelihood of discovering Popoca’s body would greatly increase.

“The traces left on Popoca have been completely erased by me, and his appearance has changed. Not only would the Extreme Sect members not recognize him, but even the Frost Moon Alliance wizards who participated in the La Sutherland campaign wouldn’t know who he is,” Sanders narrowed his eyes: “Moreover, it’s better if the Extreme Sect members do discover him. Bringing him back to their headquarters makes it less likely for the Demon God to notice.”

Angel thought about it and felt it made sense.

After dying, Popoca’s consciousness had entered the Wilderness of Dreams and naturally transformed into a resident of the Dream Realm. Therefore, his body was of no use to him now.

Of course, there’s still some connection between the body and the soul, but since Popoca’s soul was pulled into the Abyss by the Demon God, it couldn’t affect the body left in the mortal world.

The only impact would be if Sparrow Blossom really ventures into the Abyss in the future and brings back Popoca’s soul. Only then would the body’s situation need to be considered.

But that was a matter for the future. Moreover, if Sparrow Blossom really has the power to snatch Popoca’s soul from the hands of the Profound Lord, then retrieving Popoca’s body from the Extreme Sect wouldn’t be difficult.

Thinking this, Angel nodded: “Let’s leave.”

Before leaving, Sanders did one more thing. Using an extremely precious spell material, he released a special spell that disturbed all the energy fluctuations at the scene, making it hard for even prophecy wizards to trace what had happened earlier.

While Sanders was casting the spell, Angel reconfirmed that the residual information on Popoca’s body wouldn’t reveal too much.

After everything was finished, seeing the approaching terrifying sandstorm, Sanders took Angel and stepped into the not yet fully closed interstitial plane passageway, disappearing from view.

Not long after Sanders and Angel left, two individuals dressed in dark robes of a secretive sect appeared nearby.

They all wore hoods, concealing most of their faces, but from the visible lips and nose bridge, it was apparent that the one in the gray robe was a young man, while the one in the black robe was a woman with black lipstick applied.

“The bishop, the source of chaos should be nearby,” said the man, his voice cold and detached, like rain falling on a cold blade, chilling and sharp.

The woman, respectfully referred to as the bishop by the man, was the one with the black lipstick. Beneath her hood, she quietly closed her eyes, sensing the residual aura around: “It’s the aura of the Profound Lord.”

The man in the gray robe pondered for a moment: “I remember the scripture mentioning that the Supreme Demon God of the Abyss had an agreement with the great beings of the Source World, not to step into the four realms of wizards lightly. So, the creator of this aura can only be a follower of the Profound Lord.”

“And such a rich aura, even among the followers of the Profound Lord, is not so common,” nodded the Black-Robed Bishop, her lips curling into a beautiful smile that did not reach her eyes: “Daring to connect with the demons of other worlds in the Sin World is quite bold.”

“Find this Demon God follower immediately and execute him,” he said coldly and decisively.

The gray-robed man knelt down without hesitation, lowering his head to receive the order: “Understood!”

When the gray-robed man raised his head, the wind from the sandstorm lifted his hood, revealing a handsome face. If Angel were here, he would recognize this person as Saladin, who had previously had a conflict with Gank and Coral.

Saladin’s search soon yielded results, after all, “followers of the Demon God” did not hide or flee.

He found the frozen corpse of Popoca under a sand dune.

“Bishop, found it. But it’s already dead and seems not to be human,” Saladin reported, bringing a blue ice block to the black-robed bishop.

The bishop in the black robe scrutinized the terrifying corpse beneath the eternal ice, and after a long pause, slowly said, “He is a human, merely one consumed by a backlash from a Demon God’s pact.”

“There is something peculiar, though…” Confusion flickered in the eyes of the black-robed bishop: “It appears to be a human follower long afflicted by the backlash of a pact. Since he has been consumed, it signifies that the Profound Lord has forsaken him. Yet, why does the aura of the Demon God continue to emanate incessantly from his body after his death?”

Saladin also sensed something amiss. Although he had not yet advanced to a formal wizard, he had dealt with many followers of Demon Gods, and none had such a powerful demonic aura.

“Could it be that the Demon God is actively dispersing this aura through this body?” the black-robed bishop murmured softly, “But that makes no sense.”

She pondered long but gained no insight. Then, her gaze shifted to the outer layer of pale blue ice.

“The Eternal Frost spell is a first-level spell. This follower, consumed by the backlash, has long lost his ability to cast spells, so it couldn’t have been released by him… Someone must have been nearby before his death, perhaps an accomplice.” The black-robed bishop suddenly raised her head: “Finding this person might provide the answers.”

This time, the bishop did not let Saladin act alone in their search. Anyone capable of casting the Eternal Frost spell must be a formal wizard, and Saladin’s abilities were insufficient.

However, when the bishop extended her mental power and searched the surrounding hundreds of miles, she found no trace of anyone.

She thought for a moment and then said to Saladin, “Take me to where this body was found.”

Upon reaching the vicinity of the dunes where Popoca had slumbered, her brow furrowed abruptly: “There’s a residual aura of the void here. Has someone opened a planar passage?”

If that person left through the planar passage, it seems normal not to find them.

“Coming to the Sin World through the planar passage and then leaving… Paying such a high price, was it just to freeze a Demon God believer’s corpse? Anyway, the choice of Sin World was premeditated.” She frowned, even if it was premeditated, she still didn’t understand the other party’s motive.

“Unfortunately, the Star Observing Day is imminent, and all the prophecy wizards in the sect have gone to the Crown Star Church, unable to help in investigating the residual information.” She thought for a moment and said to Saladin, “Well, since the other party left through the planar passage, it’s not easy to find them, we can only wait until the end of the Star Observing Day. For now, let’s bring back the believer’s corpse and see if there’s any discovery.”
