Chapter 1929 Study and Bedroom <TOC> Chapter 1931 Accept or Refuse

Regardless of whether Angel’s hypothesis is correct or not, it indeed presents a logical train of thought.
However, they currently aren’t following this path to inspect every part of the ruins. After all, the ruins are neither too large nor too small; to methodically check each area and spend the effort to find clues leading to the “bedroom” would undoubtedly take much more time than simply looking for anomalies.
It’s important to note that Tizarro only altered the plaque on the door two hundred years later, implying that he didn’t discover anything for the first two centuries. Even Tizarro took two hundred years, so it’s uncertain how quickly they could find it.
Furthermore, they aren’t sure if the plaque’s anomaly is related to the hidden room. If it’s just for the sake of finding a “bedroom,” it’s likely a futile effort.
Therefore, they didn’t plan to search now. This task was ultimately left to Angel, who, if nothing unexpected happens, will stay in the ruins for a while, giving him plenty of opportunities to seek the answers about the “plaque.”
Since the path of the plaque’s anomaly is temporarily impassable, they simply set aside their speculations about the plaque and continued to listen to Rhine discuss other points of doubt.
After pondering for a moment, Rhine mentioned the second place that slightly stirred his spiritual sense, as revealed by the Eye of Truth.
Rhine looked at Angel: “You should know what the innermost room of the lower laboratory is, right?”
Angel recalled for a moment: “It’s filled with ancient alchemical equipment, all haphazardly piled up, even the tables are stacked. Based on my inference, these should be tools used by the ruins’ first owner, because Tizarro doesn’t practice alchemy, so he piled all these items in that room.”
Rhine nodded: “Your inference is correct, Tizarro piled all the alchemical tools there. But, do you know what the original purpose of that room was?”
Without waiting for Angel’s response, Rhine provided the answer: “That place was likely a storage room intended for holding items.”
Rhine recalled the information perceived through the Eye of Truth.
In the incessant retracing of time, Rhine discovered many residual messages in that room. Among them were gases specifically for storing items, as well as numerous fragments of alchemical storage, including semi-finished and finished products.
It was for this reason that Rhine surmised this was a storage room for items.
“What’s the anomaly?” Tree Spirit asked, puzzled, after listening to Rhine for a while without hearing anything unusual. A storage room for items is quite normal for an alchemist.
“The anomaly lies in…” Rhine paused, “the Mysterious Aura I detected in the crevices of time.”
“Really?”
“You mean, the original owner of these ruins was creating Mysterious Objects, a Mysterious Alchemist?” Tree Spirit asked in astonishment. Typically, a storage room, due to its special environmental structure, is used to store the works of alchemists in the process of creation. If Rhine sensed a Mysterious Aura there, could it mean that the original owner was creating Mysterious Objects?
This is significant information. According to Tree Spirit’s millennia of experience, Mysterious Alchemists are few and far between even in the Wizarding World. Each leaves a prominent name in the tide of history.
If this information is confirmed, it suggests that these ruins might very well be the laboratory left by a Mysterious Alchemist!
If so, these ruins should not be underestimated.
“It’s not necessarily a Mysterious Alchemist; it could also be that he possessed some sort of Mysterious Object,” Sanders chimed in at this moment.
If it’s a Mysterious Object, while still valuable, it’s not particularly rare. Except for Tree Spirit, the three of them actually possessed Mysterious Objects themselves.
“I actually agree more with Sanders’ perspective; if one is an alchemist at the Mysterious Realm, that’s too much like a fairy tale. I’m more inclined to think that the other party possesses a Mysterious Object,” Rhine stated, then looked towards Angel: “However, I can’t make a correct judgment either, as the Mysterious Realm is not my field of expertise. Maybe Angel could perceive the true nature of the aura emanating from the temporal rifts.”
This is considered a consensus in the Southern Region’s Wizarding World: perhaps Angel is not the strongest in alchemical techniques, but as an alchemist closest to the Mysterious Realm, it must be Angel.
“Regrettably, even if I were to bestow upon you the Eye of Truth, one would need a certain physical constitution as a basis to bear it. Angel has not yet stepped onto the Path of True Knowledge and cannot bear the Eye of Truth.”
After Rhine expressed his sentiment, Tree Spirit continued to inquire if there were any other discoveries.
However, Rhine gave a negative answer.
He only discovered these two anomalies, which, although supplementing much of the unknown information, seemed to have no connection with the hidden room.
For a time, the clues were broken once again.
Subsequently, everyone fell into a period of silence.
Angel thought it was a sense of frustration that left everyone helpless, but on closer inspection, he noticed that both Tree Spirit and Sanders were focusing their gaze on Rhine, who had his eyes tightly closed, emitting an invisible wave of mental force from his being.
Rhine’s mental fluctuation was accompanied by a natural domain of silence; the so-called silence wasn’t about not speaking, but being unable to speak.
They could try to forcibly break through this layer of the silence domain, but seeing Rhine’s demeanor, he seemed to be pondering something and it was unnecessary to disturb him.
This silence domain lasted for about ten minutes.
When Rhine opened his eyes, all the mental fluctuations around him had converged into his gaze, and the silence domai disappeared instantly. Despite this, no one spoke; instead, they waited for Rhine to speak.
Rhine: “I just returned to the Mirror World.”
No one asked Rhine how he went back because it was obvious. His body was still here, and his soul hadn’t left its shell; he must have extended his mental power to return to the Mirror World on a spiritual level.
Everyone present, except for Angel, could do this. Once Angel steps onto True Knowledge, his mental power will undergo a significant change, and if he tries hard, he can extend his mental power in one direction for dozens of miles.
“My main purpose was to consult the statue in the tower, hoping to get some answers from its heart sounds.”
Rhine’s statement seemed abrupt, but everyone understood what he meant, including Angel. Angel had visited High Cloud Tower more than once, so he knew very well that there’s a pool in the lobby of High Cloud Tower with a statue in the center, the statue of the Silent Deity.
The Silent Deity is a minor faction of the prophecy school, not as prominent as the “River of Destiny, Wheel of Time, and Strings of the World” but still a mainstream faction.
Angel didn’t initially know why Rhine would place a statue of the Silent Deity there, but later he learned from various sources that Rhine could ask questions to the statue and, by listening to its heart sounds, achieve an effect similar to prophecy.
Of course, this effect is certainly much lower than the abilities of a real prophecy wizard, and only Rhine, a skilled silence wizard proficient in sound spells, could capture the “heart sounds” of the statue, so it wasn’t considered overly miraculous.
Rhine’s return to High Cloud Tower through his mental power was to try and gain some information about this ruin by Listening to the Heart Sounds.
