The Source Fire! It is indeed the Source Fire!

Most of the gathered spectators had never laid their eyes upon the Source Fire before. However, the instant they observed the tiny flame, they instinctively confirmed within their hearts that this was indeed the Source Fire!

“Indeed, it is the Source Fire!” a youthful voice, laced with an air of innocence, exclaimed passionately, “I can sense it, there’s no mistake! This is the Source Fire!”

All eyes followed the source of the voice, discovering that it belonged to the Young Fire Demon standing beside Olucia. At that moment, it was pointing excitedly at the small flame on the arm of Lord Night, jumping up and down in exhilaration.

As far as Greaves, the Fire Demon, was concerned, it had experienced the Source Fire of its ancestors. However, that fire was tinged with a dusk-like gloom, reminding it of the graveyards of the Death Lord whenever it sensed it. As a young and energetic Fire Demon, Greaves did not particularly appreciate that kind of Source Fire, despite the profound implications it held.

The small, white Source Fire on Lord Night’s arm was entirely different. It was lively, vibrant, full of vitality. Sensing this Source Fire, Greaves saw hope — the hope of evolving from a Young Fire Demon into a Rune Lord Fire Demon.

Of all those present, Greaves probably had the most familiarity with the Source Fire. So, when Greaves also confirmed that this was the Source Fire, the eyes of every Fire Demon present glowed red, their gazes fixed upon the tiny flame with fervent intensity.

On the other side, the wizards eyed the Source Fire with an undisguised avarice. After all, unlike demons, almost every wizard practiced some form of fire magic, and the Source Fire’s nurturing effect on fire magic was unrivaled!

Even Mengke was initially captivated by the Source Fire. However, Mengke was held by his own obsession. While the Source Fire was indeed precious, as a Frost Wizard, its allure was limited to him. His real target was Olucia!

However, as Mengke gazed at Olucia, Olucia didn’t look back at him. Instead, all her attention was focused on the Source Fire. Just as Mengke had his obsessions, so did Olucia. But hers was aimed towards a distant future. And the key to unlock that future required the activation of the Source Fire!

A sudden gust of wind heralded a small Fire Demon, unable to resist the allure of the Source Fire, charging forward.

Angel noticed this Fire Demon, expecting someone to stop it. Strangely, however, no demon interfered with its actions. Even when it passed by Komodo, it only glanced at it and did nothing.

As Angel watched, puzzled, the Fire Demon had already reached the top of the Obelisk, in front of the painting.

However, just as the small demon extended its skinny hand, greedily reaching for the flame, the hand of Lord Night, protruding from the vortex, suddenly moved——

It bent and grabbed the Fire Demon by the throat.

In an instant, the Fire Demon rolled its eyes and passed out.

Simultaneously, both Komodo and Olucia lunged towards the flame.

Upon seeing this, Angel began to understand why Komodo and Olucia had not stopped the Fire Demon. They were using it as bait…

Olucia was closest to the Source Fire. With a swift spin and careful manoeuvre, not touching Lord Night, she snatched the Source Fire, shining white, into her grasp.

But Olucia’s celebration was cut short as Komodo rushed forward. Like a rolling flesh tank, accompanied by the thunderous roar, it transformed into a blur of speed and rammed directly into Olucia’s back.

The thunderous impact reverberated through the void, creating ripples in the nothingness of space!

Caught off guard, Olucia was stunned by the impact, and the Source Fire in her hands was instinctively flung into the air.

Olucia quickly recovered and attempted to reclaim the Source Fire. However, Komodo was just as aggressive. As they Struggle for the Source Fire, it simultaneously attacked Olucia in an attempt to obstruct her.

A demon and Descendant of a Demon God became shadows of their former selves as they clashed.

Some of the human wizards, particularly those of the fire element, coveted the airborne Source Fire. But the sight of the hand in the vortex gave them pause.

The power of the Demon Lord made them hesitate to act rashly.

Furthermore, the energy released during the fight between Olucia and Komodo kept everyone at bay for fear of accidental harm.

Although the fight between Olucia and Komodo was evenly matched, the airborne Source Fire would eventually come to rest.

The white Source Fire danced in the air, seemingly choosing its destination. In the end, it chose a Young Fire Demon, Greaves, and landed in his hand.

Holding the Source Fire, Greaves looked utterly bewildered.

A whistling sound from a distance was quickly followed by Tantin, the Servant of Fire, grabbing Greaves and ducking behind a painting.

Seeing the fragments of stone exploded beside him, Greaves finally realized that someone had attacked him!

“Quickly, put away the Source Fire!” the Servant of Fire shouted at the stupefied Greaves.

Only then did Greaves frantically try to store the Source Fire in his demon storage space. After a while, however, Greaves announced in a panic, “It’s no use. The Source Fire can’t be put into the space. I can feel that forcing it in would extinguish it!”

Demon Storage, similar to spatial items, is a stable space artificially created for storage.

As the “First Flame,” the Source Fire, underpinned by immense laws, can’t be stored in a space where the laws are weak. Even a Wizard Garden, which approximates a small world, can’t accommodate the Source Fire.

During Greaves’ moment of panic, Olucia suddenly appeared by his side.

“Give me the Source Fire.”

Without hesitation, Greaves handed the Source Fire to Olucia. Although he longed for the Source Fire, he was well aware that keeping it in his own hands would be like holding a hot potato.

At that moment, a dark shadow fell from the sky. It was Komodo, who had plunged down.

Holding the Source Fire in one hand, Olucia stretched out the other hand. Muttering a strange Demonic God Language, her palm erupted with a terrifying force, which directly sent Komodo tumbling hundreds of meters away!

After a good deal of tumbling, Komodo finally managed to halt its fall. By then, Olucia had already seized the Source Fire.

Once again, Olucia found herself returning to the periphery of the painting. Lifting her head, her eyes, flickering with a ghostly flame, were no longer met with the figures of Mengke and Komodo, but instead, countless pairs of covetous gazes.

A sudden, piercing cry split the air.

The small Fire Demon who had previously been caught in Lord Night’s stranglehold had finally succumbed, its body violently severed from its head.

All eyes were once again drawn to the vortex on the painting, where Lord Night’s other hand now emerged. As both hands reached out, Lord Night didn’t immediately pull himself through. Instead, his hands bulged with veins, gripping the edges of the vortex and tearing it wider.

Under the force of Lord Night’s efforts, the vortex expanded.

By the size of his hands now, it was clear that Lord Night was as large as a titan. The vortex had been so small before, only able to accommodate his two hands. But now, he had torn it wider, making space for his giant form.

Once the vortex was stretched to its limits, Lord Night’s head finally began to emerge from within.

At first, it was just the top of his head that was visible, revealing that his hair was no more, replaced instead by flames of bright orange.

However, amongst these orange flames, a small tuft of purple flame flickered, quite distinctive.

It gave off fluctuations that were identical to the earlier white Source Fire. However, something held within the flames seemed to have changed slightly.

“Is this also a Source Fire?!” Someone asked.

The covetous gaze of Olucia and Komodo was the only answer necessary——

The purple flame was, indeed, a Source Fire!

“Do you still want to compete with me?” Komodo growled at Olucia, or more specifically, at the white Source Fire in her hand.

Olucia offered no response, simply meeting Komodo’s gaze with her own icy stare.

Neither Komodo nor Olucia seemed inclined to back down. However, neither of them made a move, aware that the new purple Source Fire was atop Lord Night’s head.

Elsewhere, Angel turned to Fafnir, “Lord Fafnir, aren’t you going to compete for it?”

“Why would I concern myself with it?”

Angel pointed at the Mark of Flame on Fafnir’s earlobe.

Seeing it, Fafnir coldly replied, “If Odeklaes required a Source Fire, he would not rely on others. He would step into that world himself.”

As Fafnir spoke, the head of Lord Night fully emerged from the vortex.

Moreover, Lord Night extracted his upper torso from the other end of the vortex at an incredible speed. Albeit, his visage and upper body were charred by the flames, obscuring a clear view.

Not until the tightly shut eyes of Lord Night sprang open, illuminating a radiant gleam amidst the raging flames.

Alongside the shimmer in his gaze, the flames encasing the Lord’s upper body, including his head, gradually dimmed. However, these flames did not dissipate. Instead, they transmuted into an armor etched with an array of peculiar runes.

Including the face of Lord Night, now shrouded by this armor. The bizarre texture of the faceplate reflected a hint of cold luminescence.

The location of the eyes on the faceplate was a layer of black membrane. Even though the eyes of Lord Night were invisible, one could sense his icy and primitive gaze through this black film.

As the upper torso of Lord Night almost emerged from the vortex, the humans led by Mengke continually retreated.

Even though Lord Night did not emit any oppressive aura, everyone understood that he had unquestionably achieved that realm.

At this moment, Mengke had already retracted his Frost Giant form, his hand hidden within his robe clutching a Mysterious Object emanating a mysterious fluctuation. This Mysterious Object was the source of Mengke’s confidence to venture into La Sutherland and also the trump card of the Frost Moon Alliance.

Even though Angel had once said that Lord Night seemed to harbor no prejudice against humans or demons, Mengke did not dare to gamble.

If Lord Night really posed a threat, Mengke could only temporarily abandon Olucia and flee La Sutherland.

Thinking about this, Mengke’s gaze unconsciously shifted towards Angel on the other side.

At this moment, Lord Night slowly lifted his head, his gaze leisurely sweeping across the crowd outside. Whether it was the demon or human factions, Lord Night did not linger on any of them.

Not until he saw Angel, did the gaze of Lord Night momentarily pause. Then it moved again, skipping over Komodo, who was intensely watching, and ultimately rested on Olucia.
