Angel broached the dilemma concerning White Bear.

“Initially, you had White Bear hand over to me his most treasured possession. Was this due to a certain vision you perceived?” Angel inquired.

White Bear stared at Totoro with a sense of urgency. He had questioned Totoro countless times in the past, but Totoro had always remained silent, offering no explanations.

Amidst the attentive gazes of those present, Totoro shook his head, “Vision, per se, I did not see. However, while observing the River of Destiny, I did have a faint premonition. Guided by this enlightenment, I instructed White Bear to hand over his most prized possession to you.”

“Enlightenment? What do you specifically mean?” Angel asked, a hint of confusion evident in his voice.

“Earlier, my abilities couldn’t pierce through the mist, only feeling it vaguely. However, now, I can attempt a closer look.” Totoro paused, looking at Angel, “Might you temporarily entrust to me that cherished item of White Bear?”

Angel glanced at White Bear. The latter nodded. Only then did Angel produce a white bear plush toy, placing it before Totoro.

“I will endeavor to unveil the truth,” Totoro assured Angel solemnly. He then directed his gaze at the slightly yellowed white bear toy and slowly reached out his hand.

Totoro’s hand didn’t touch the plush toy. There remained a gap the size of a fist. In this minute distance, Angel felt an odd ripple in the atmosphere.

To the naked eye, it seemed as if Totoro’s hand had brushed against some ethereal barrier. A mere flicker of his fingertips sent ripples cascading through the air.

And on that seemingly ordinary white bear toy, there appeared to be an inexplicable transformation taking place.

“Is this Totoro’s prophecy spell?” Angel mused, captivated by the unfolding scene.

Elsewhere, Popoca wore a complex expression. There was anticipation and urgency for the truth, tension too. Yet, he was simultaneously awed by the prophecy spell Totoro was displaying.

He had always recognized that Totoro possessed a far more profound gift for prophecy than he did. Yet, Totoro was a reserved soul, preferring solitude to company. This left White Bear uncertain about the true extent of Totoro’s prowess.

The truth was now evident.

While he still allowed himself to be swept by the River of Destiny, seeking guidance from its vast river, Totoro had already begun observing, touching, deciphering, and even altering this River of Destiny.

Such profound prophecy abilities were something White Bear had only witnessed once before through Mentor Maya. Yet, Totoro had achieved this level in just over a year. White Bear’s eyes mirrored a blend of shame and deep admiration.

After an extended moment, Totoro finally withdrew, the energy ripples settling around him as he plunged deep into contemplation.

A while later, with a hue of embarrassment on his face, Totoro humbly admitted to Angel, “My abilities haven’t matured enough to untangle this situation. There seems to be some anomaly here, a peculiar energy masking the truth, preventing a clear interpretation.”

A hint of disappointment gleamed in White Bear’s eyes.

Angel, with a resigned sigh, whispered words of consolation to Totoro, assuring him it wasn’t his fault.

“However, I did glimpse some fragmented visions. I can share them with you, Angel,” Totoro added, offering a glimmer of hope just when all seemed bleak.

With that, Totoro initiated a mental connection, establishing a mental link with Angel.

Subsequently, the fragmented scenes Totoro had perceived were transferred to Angel through this mental link.

White Bear, looking on, was on the verge of tears. He felt personally connected to these events. Shouldn’t he have been included in this mental link? Yet, he felt neglected from beginning to end.

The visions Totoro relayed were indeed fragmented, many lacking context — mere silhouettes that were hard to decipher.

However, many of these fragmented visions bore connections to the Pat Manor. Angel, being familiar with the estate, had clarity on its affairs. Though not a prophecy wizard himself, Angel could interpret these visions more adeptly than Totoro.

After what felt like an eternity, Totoro severed the mental connection.

Anxious and expectant, White Bear’s eyes locked onto Angel, silently pleading for an answer.

As the assembled group turned their gaze upon Angel, they found his pupils constricted, his face etched with disbelief.

“What in the world transpired?” White Bear couldn’t help but inquire.

Angel, however, remained silent, suddenly standing up with urgency. “I need to verify something; please wait for a moment.”

With that, Angel swiftly exited the grand hall. Sanders, following Angel’s departing figure with his eyes, noticed him entering his room, where he promptly retrieved the Geometric Lock.

Sanders recalled Angel mentioning this artifact previously. The Geometric Lock, inscribed with a “Silent Closure” magic formation, possesses defensive, concealment, and aura-hiding properties. It can significantly suppress mysterious fluctuations within nearly a hundred-meter radius.

The purpose behind Angel crafting the Geometric Lock, according to him, was to ensure that while using the “Dream Conch of the Moonlit Coast” in the future, its emanations wouldn’t be detected by others. Nonetheless, Angel would also utilize the Geometric Lock while practicing alchemy or venturing into the Wilderness of Dreams to shield against prying eyes.

Sanders waited for a significant duration, yet detected no mysterious fluctuations. Could it be that Angel had entered the Wilderness of Dreams?

What could he have glimpsed from Totoro that prompted such a hasty foray into the dream realm?

Pondering momentarily, Sanders rose from the couch. Summoning Butler Goode to the grand hall, he instructed, “Take care of our guests. I’m going to check on something.”

Having said that, Sanders made his way out of the grand hall, soon arriving at Angel’s door.

Just as Sanders settled, the Geometric Lock within was deactivated. The door swung open abruptly, revealing Angel’s visage.

There was a palpable tension in Angel’s expression. On seeing Sanders, he momentarily hesitated before urgently declaring, “Mentor, I need to return to the Old Land Continent immediately!”

Sanders, his gaze unflinching, met Angel’s eyes. “What has occurred?”

Taking a deep breath to steady himself, Angel nodded, methodically recounting the scenes he’d witnessed.

The visuals relayed to Angel by Totoro were indecipherable to the latter. While Angel, being more involved, could interpret parts, certain images jolted his memory.

One particular scene displayed the backdrop of a stilt house, previously inhabited by Jon.

Ever since Jon entered the ice coffin, the stilt house has been occupied by Eureka. The vision that Totoro transmitted to Angel indeed featured the silhouette of Eureka.

Eureka stood dead center in the main hall of the first floor of the stilt house. Because her back was turned, her face remained obscured, but Angel noticed a striking anomaly in her posture, distinctively different from how Eureka typically stood. Most alarmingly, beneath her vivid red skirt, a fresh crimson stain of blood was discernible.

This was the first unsettling image that perturbed Angel.

Another scene, equally discomforting, once again spotlighted Eureka’s Eeriness, still within the precincts of the stilt house, but this time she stood atop its roof.

Still retaining her peculiar stance, she stood on the rooftop. Behind her was a starless night and a grandiose moon, mirroring a massive disc.

The moonlight rendered Eureka’s face indistinct due to the nocturnal shade. However, what was unmistakably evident were her eyes, which radiated an eerie, terrifying, and icy red glint.

In the subsequent vision, Eureka was absent. Instead, a bird’s-eye view encapsulated the entirety of the Pat Manor. Upon cursory observation, the estate seemed unchanged, but a more discerning eye would notice it blanketed under a faint, sanguine glow.

These fragmented images were relayed mentally by Totoro.

Of course, there were other scenes, but they appeared normal, and Angel couldn’t decipher any significant clues. Only these three images were profoundly eerie.

Regarding Eureka: while Angel held certain reservations about her, Eureka’s nature in the Wizarding World leaned more towards the benevolent side. She wasn’t the kind to have a sharp edge. Yet, the visions presented a disconcerting side of her, starkly incongruent with her known persona.

Especially unsettling was the eerie red light emanating from her eyes beneath the moon, which sent shivers down Angel’s spine.

This portrayal of Eureka reminded Angel of an incident.

Ever since the Kulakuka tribe moved to the Pat Manor, those spirited and vivacious young girls gradually formed an alliance. Enthusiastic about myriad joyful activities, they often organized tea parties.

Angel had never partaken in their youthful tea gatherings. However, Toby, a male bird, following Moon Bellflower Fairy the genderless flower sprite, had often gatecrashed their tea parties for a nibble.

On one occasion, as Angel was searching for Toby, he happened upon a tea party of Kulakuka tribe young ladies. To his surprise, their conversation was rife with scandal and juicy tidbits.

Not only were their words unrestrained, but they also had the audacity to gossip about everyone, from their Lord Leon to even transcendental beings like Angel himself and Eureka.

Amongst the whispers, Angel caught wind of a rumor regarding Eureka.

A girl claimed that one day she inadvertently noticed Eureka’s eyes turning a fiery crimson. And in that moment, despite her face remaining impassive, there was a chilling aura around her, as if she had transformed into someone else entirely.

At the time, no one gave the girl’s words much credence, and Angel was skeptical as well. These tea parties weren’t just about gossip; they often featured tall tales and baseless rumors. For instance, some even whispered that Leon hid a secret lover in his chambers. Such one-sided stories were hardly believable.

Yet, when Angel later viewed the images sent by Totoro, he couldn’t help but reconsider. Perhaps, just perhaps, the girl’s claim held some truth!
