Chapter 1337 Vision of Spell Creation

Sterling gazed into the distance, and after what seemed like an eternity, he whispered with a chuckle, “Such is the fluctuation of spell creation, capable of invoking the World Will. It appears to be a remarkable spell indeed.”

Sanders, naturally, sensed it too. However, his focus wasn’t on the creation of the spell. When he first constructed his spell, the World Will had also descended upon him, and the scope of the vision was one of the grandest in the past several centuries.

What he was more intrigued by was the location.

“This direction, and the distance…” Sanders frowned, “It feels as if it’s emanating from Whale Whisker Sea?”

Sterling nodded in agreement, “Indeed, it’s from Whale Whisker Sea, quite close to the Forbidden Magic Zone. I wonder who chose to construct a spell there.”

By Forbidden Magic Zone, he referred to the Old Land Continent.

Close to the Old Land Continent? A sense of foreboding suddenly surged within Sanders.

After a brief pause, he stood up and said to Sterling, “I appreciate your company today, but I must leave now for some matters.”

Without waiting for Sterling’s response, Sanders’s figure vanished from the Iron Wizard Tower.

Sterling murmured softly, “He left so hastily. I intended to ask him about Angel’s affairs. Oh well. Muse mentioned earlier that he had given Angel the Research Institute’s access card. I’ll discuss it the next time I return to the Institute.”

Elsewhere, Sanders arrived at a corner of Steampunk Theme Park, beneath a tree adorned with colorful balloons.

Near the tree was the Spirit Circus — a show that reveled in tormenting the dead. Beneath the tree, one could still hear the sorrowful screams emanating from the circus.

Sanders tapped lightly on the massive tree trunk, revealing a concealed door that materialized upon its bark. Without hesitation, Sanders pushed the arboreal gateway open and stepped inside.

From the outside, it appeared as just another ordinary tree. But within its core, it was surprisingly spacious. One could see several individuals bustling about. A distinguishing trait among them was the emblem of the “Eternal Tree” adorned on their attire.

This was, in essence, the outpost of the Savage Grottoes located in the Steampunk Theme Park.

Upon Sanders’s entrance, the personnel inside immediately greeted him with reverent gestures.

With a subtle nod of acknowledgment, Sanders responded to their salutations. He then made his way to a temporary room situated at the back. Pushing the room’s door open, Sanders sank into a sofa and, via Dream Entry, transported himself to the Wilderness of Dreams.

Upon reaching Azure Tower in this dream realm, Sanders coincidentally saw Freud emerging from within.

“Lord Phantom Master,” Freud greeted, lowering his head respectfully.

“Has Angel arrived?” queried Sanders.

Freud paused for a moment, shaking his head, “He visited earlier and seemed to have conversed with his elder brother. However, he has since departed and is currently not in the Wilderness of Dreams.”

A crease formed on Freud’s brow. If Angel intended to speak with Leon, why would they choose the Wilderness of Dreams for their discussion? Weren’t the brothers both residing in the mansion?

Could it be that Angel has now left?

At this thought, a sudden jolt resonated in Sanders’s heart, prompting him to ask, “Is Leon presently in the Wilderness of Dreams?”

Freud nodded affirmatively, “Yes, he’s with Sir Sabel.”

After a brief moment, Freud encountered Leon, who had been honing his combat techniques under the guidance of Sabel. Faced with Sanders’ inquiries, Leon replied with a touch of uncertainty, “How would Lord Phantom Master know that Angel isn’t at the mansion? Indeed, Angel has left; he departed just yesterday.”

Rubbing his temples, Sanders queried, “Do you know why he left?”

Leon shook his head, “Angel only mentioned a brief departure for a few days and that he’d return soon. I didn’t press about his destination. Oh, he did hint at meeting someone named ‘Gold’ or something, but later when I asked his current whereabouts, he claimed to be at sea. Isn’t ‘Gold’ in Conia?”

“At sea?” Sanders, with a growing premonition, probed further, “Which sea? The North Order Sea or Whale Whisker Sea?”

Both the North Order Sea and Whale Whisker Sea bordered the Old Land Continent but in slightly different directions.

“Whale Whisker Sea,” Leon replied unequivocally.

Hearing this, Sanders maintained a calm exterior, but internally he sighed with a tone of resignation, “As I suspected.”

Earlier, when he sensed the World Will fluctuations near Sterling, and knowing it was close to the Old Land Continent, he had a hunch it might be related to Angel.

That’s why he bid Sterling a hasty farewell and hastened to the Wilderness of Dreams to confirm. It turned out, his intuition was spot on.

Although it’s still uncertain whether the World Will anomaly was Angel’s doing, Angel’s inexplicable trip to Whale Whisker Sea was already suspicious.

“Lord Phantom Master, has something happened to Angel?” Leon asked, puzzled.

Sanders waved off the concern, “It’s nothing, just inquiring. The vicinity of Whale Whisker Sea is known for its… spell creation…”

Creation… An anomaly? Sanders’ train of thought halted mid-sentence. If it were about spell creation, it did remind him of something.

Angel once mentioned that he’s been diligently preparing his Spell Position.

Sanders was genuinely curious about what Angel’s Spell Position truly entailed. Yet, Angel remained mysterious. Connecting it with the recent spell creation Vision Space… Did Angel opt for the most challenging path: creating his own magic?!

Sanders’ first Spell Position, established during his apprenticeship, was anchored to “Mimicry.” As for the remaining two Spell Positions, they were set during his first and second wizard realms, respectively — binding to “Nightmare Shadow” and “Nightmare Double.”

The latter two spells were his original creations, perfectly aligned with his path. However, his first Spell Position held a generic third level trick. Even though it could work in tandem with the Nightmare Domain to cast an exceptionally powerful “Shadowlight Nightmare Double,” it remained a tinge of regret for Sanders.

Given this sense of regret, Sanders secretly hoped that Angel, right from his initial Spell Position, would employ his unique magic creation. Especially after witnessing Angel’s modified “Wind Tornado,” Sanders’ expectations soared.

However, creating magic is no walk in the park. Decades might pass without any tangible progress.

Given the impending turbulence in the Wizarding World, Sanders didn’t force this idea upon Angel. He merely suggested that Angel choose useful tricks to solidify in his Spell Position.

But now, if the Vision Space from Whale Whisker Sea is indeed Angel’s doing… Did he truly embark on this challenging path? Reflecting on Angel’s mysterious concealment of his Spell Position, the answer seems glaringly obvious.

Sanders initially presumed Angel might have stirred up another commotion. But if Angel was indeed behind the creation, then… the scale of this Vision Space is rather underwhelming. Ideally, it should span across the entire sea, persisting for hundreds of days.

The grander the scale, the more Sanders would revel in it!

Remember, when Gloria constructed the “Creation Spell” in the Cloud Sea, the phenomena lasted for hundreds of days in the surrounding area!

Sanders felt a sudden lift in spirits, “The Omen Sign might not have been massive, but it did draw the attention of the World Will. For an apprentice’s original spell, it’s quite commendable… However, the presence of the World Will this time felt somewhat odd to me.”

Sanders murmured to himself, not lingering on the thought for too long.

On the other side, Leon was awaiting Sanders’ response. However, seeing the joy on Sanders’ face, he figured Angel probably faced no issues.

Guessing that Angel might have attempted to create a spell, Sanders had initially planned to abandon his current task and return immediately using the planar semi-passage to check on the situation.

Yet, doing so would seem overly formal, indicating he cared too much. Besides, there was a chance it wasn’t Angel who cast the spell, and returning would be awkward.

If it really was Angel’s spell, it’s ultimately a matter of Spell Position. Whether he went back sooner or later didn’t matter much.

It would be wiser to finish his current task first to avoid wasting the materials for opening the planar passage.

Sanders shifted back to reality, continuing his search in the Steampunk Theme Park for his next target. However, his thoughts were still occupied with the spell creation.

If it truly was Angel’s spell, then Sanders’ path to true knowledge would be smooth sailing.

“I wonder which spell he created. To perfect it to a usable stage in such a short time is astonishing.”

The only regret was the smaller scale of the Omen Sign.

Not many in the Southern Region Wizarding World gave much importance to this occurrence of the World Will, and this included Sanders’ perspective.

In the shadowy void, not too distant from the crystalline barrier of the Wizarding World,

A gaze was fixed on the Southern Region.

“Hmm, it’s the World Will?” A figure cloaked in obscurity, voiced with a hint of surprise.

He had just departed from the Southern Region and was well aware of its current state. Due to the absence of a passage to the wider continent, the Southern Region lagged far behind the other wizard domains. Who would’ve thought that in such a territory, a Vision of Spell Creation could draw the attention of the World Will?

However, what struck as peculiar was that the World Will didn’t seem to be descending; rather, it appeared to be observing something.

Naturally, this was just the cloaked figure’s analogy. The World Will, in essence, is a collective consciousness, devoid of bias in thought or emotion.

A trace of regret crossed the cloaked figure’s face. Had the World Will truly descended, the rewards for the spell creator would’ve been beyond imagination.

After all, the manifestation of a spell vision always beckoned a fitting reward.

The gifts of the World Will invariably pointed towards truth.

What a pity.

As the cloaked figure inwardly shook his head, he suddenly halted in thought.

It wasn’t that there was something wrong with the spell vision, but rather, not too far from it, he sensed a familiar fluctuation.

“Could it be that he’s sensed the malevolent persona conjured by the Dark Sonata?” The cloaked figure arched an eyebrow. During his time in the Southern Region, out of curiosity to witness whether the Scarlet Sovereignty had gone rogue, he granted King Guman a favor by creating a wicked persona for the master of the Scarlet Sovereignty.

Surprisingly, during the act of creating a Vision Space, he felt its presence once again.

“There’s a twist of fate here. Had I not discovered the ‘Ghost’s Box of Reincarnation’ showing signs of unpredictability, I might’ve ventured back to the Southern Region,” the cloaked man mused with a hint of regret, turning his back and soaring towards the abyssal void.
