Beneath the vast dome, to the naked eye, myriad electric serpents slithered, accompanied by whirlwinds of sand, painting a visage of pure astonishment. The ears were greeted by the roaring of wind and thunder, punctuated by the muffled sounds of flesh colliding.

Leon might not discern the exact scene on the arena, but his interest never waned. Firstly, he was concerned about Angel’s welfare. Secondly, this arena hinted at a path, a transcendent journey concerning bloodline powers!

Be it Nausica or Angel, both showcased the future potential of bloodline powers.

It’s a path brimming with imagination, filled with uncertainties and paved with clashes of flesh and blood.

Leon felt as if countless bubbles of inspiration were rising within his mind.

Even if he couldn’t see the action, the sounds of combat acted like notes stimulating his creativity, making him lose himself in a symphony woven from these tones.

On the other hand, as Angel continuously tangled with Nausica, he could feel every attack from her sending jolts of electricity through him.

Nausica’s mastery over electricity was effortless. Not only did she channel it into Angel, but in tandem with her conductive thin sword, she wreaked havoc within him. Moreover, Nausica could use the current to set various traps. Simultaneously, Angel realized with every close contact with Nausica, her power surged, probably stimulating her muscles with electricity to enhance her destructive force.

The enemy faced damage and limitations, while she benefited and amplified her strengths.

This scenario reminded Angel of a transcendent concept: Law Domain!

A Law Domain is a realm of laws. It was improbable for Nausica, still an apprentice, to have achieved it. However, her electric dome bore an uncanny resemblance to some effects of the Law Domain.

Even this could be hailed as the “Prototype Domain.”

A surge of admiration welled up inside Angel, realizing that without even asking, he understood Nausica’s blatantly clear ambition——

Pointing straight to legendary!

For only a legendary wizard can possess a complete Law Domain.

As Angel marveled at Nausica’s determination, he was also elated. This joy stemmed from the prospect of continuing their journey side by side with her as Fellow Travelers.

In the Wizarding World, many proclaim their transcendence, placing themselves above the ordinary. Yet their actions often suggest contentment with mediocrity.

They preach that truth shapes the future, but their actions paint a different picture.

Dreams left unrealized remain mere fantasies; but once steps are taken towards them, they become set objectives.

It’s evident that Nausica is already treading this path.

After nearly ten minutes of intense confrontation, Nausica suddenly stepped back and halted.

She hovered mid-air, wings flapping, with electric currents shimmering around the thin sword in her hand. Her wavy hair danced wildly amidst the currents. Yet, this display didn’t diminish her beauty; if anything, it added an unconventional allure.

“I’m done,” were the first words out of Nausica’s mouth, leaving both Coral and Leon puzzled on the sidelines.

“I’ve basically given it my all. Even though I haven’t used all my bloodline talents, they wouldn’t sway the outcome of this duel. As for you, from the start, you’ve only used your physical strength.” Pausing for a moment, a hint of astonishment flickered in Nausica’s eyes, “And if I’m not mistaken, you haven’t even activated your bloodline power, have you?”

After hearing Nausica’s words, the skepticism brimming in Coral’s eyes was palpable. Could one truly achieve such might without invoking the power of their bloodline, relying merely on their physical form?

How could that be conceivable?

Unconsciously, Coral’s gaze drifted to Leon. As Angel’s elder sibling, he must surely be privy to some hidden truths?

Yet, even Leon appeared to be in a state of shock. His understanding of Angel’s abilities was, in truth, rather limited. As far as he remembered, Angel primarily wielded illusory magic, and he never perceived him as one with great physical power.

Yet, the reality before him seemed to challenge that notion?

With a nonchalant shrug, Angel remarked, “Indeed, I haven’t invoked the power of my bloodline… You might call its unique trait a sort of inborn talent. In fact, it doesn’t directly correlate with physical strength.”

His current physical power had already reached its pinnacle. Even if he were to activate the so-called bloodline power, it would merely manifest as a change in his right eye and wouldn’t enhance his physical strength.

Naturally, if he were to incorporate the Phantasmal Limb, his defense or attack would intensify. But the Phantasmal Limb, much like an exoskeleton, doesn’t intrinsically augment his physical might.

Angel’s words sent a whirlwind of possibilities regarding bloodline types through Nausica’s mind.

In her knowledge, there were few bloodlines that, when activated, didn’t amplify one’s physical strength. However, the very fact that Angel’s physical power was so heightened after merging with his bloodline signified that its inherent rank was of a superior caliber.

After much contemplation, Nausica couldn’t draw a conclusion.

“May I inquire about the nature of the bloodline you’ve fused with?” Though Nausica felt her question was somewhat audacious, her innate curiosity compelled her to ask.

Angel’s gaze briefly settled on Coral outside, a hint of amusement playing at the corners of his mouth.

A soft whisper floated into Nausica’s ear.

A spark of astonishment flitted across Nausica’s eyes. Although Angel hadn’t specified the bloodline, she did mention a location——

“The Nightmare Plane.”

For Angel, the specifics of the Projection Bloodline couldn’t be divulged, but the fact that it originated from the Nightmare Plane didn’t need to be concealed.

In retrospect, while many shrouded the research on the bloodlines of the Nightmare Plane creatures in secrecy, a select few were privy to it. They kept the subject of the Nightmare Plane under wraps, yet their studies hadn’t reached the point of hoarding them like a miser’s broom.

Nausica had of course perused the —The Plane Expedition Chronicles— and was deeply aware of the nature of the Nightmare Plane. The bloodline that Angel had integrated with came from the Nightmare Plane?!

The elusiveness of the creatures of the Nightmare Plane might very well hold the key to Angel’s current condition.

After a long pause, Nausica gently inquired, “Aren’t you concerned about a clash with your inherent bloodline?”

Nowadays, apprentices of the bloodline have various measures to harmonize and counteract the risks of integration. Nevertheless, clashes between bloodlines can still occur. At best, the integration might fail, and at worst, one’s inherent bloodline could collapse.

The Nightmare Plane bloodline that Angel chose surely wouldn’t be documented in any bloodline tome. The risks of integrating an unknown bloodline are unimaginably high.

Angel offered a light-hearted chuckle, “I’m doing perfectly fine now.”

Seeing the twinkling in Angel’s eyes, Nausica understood that some things were better left unsaid. With a silent sigh, she chose not to press further.

“You’ve been holding back your power this whole time, haven’t you? I wonder if I can get a glimpse of your true strength?” Nausica posed, “At the very least, I need to gauge the chasm that separates our abilities.”

Angel pondered for a fleeting moment and gave a nod of agreement: “Very well.”

Anticipation laced with anxiety was evident on Nausica’s face.

Outside the arena, Coral and Leon were holding their breath in suspense.

With a methodical clenching of his fist and no other superfluous motion, Angel made a powerful swipe in one direction.

A thunderous roar resonated!

To everyone, it seemed as though a mirage had taken form — their vision was momentarily obscured by rolling dark clouds, and it felt as if lightning had struck from the heavens.

On the stage, the residual electrical currents that danced on its surface vanished in an instant, and in their place, a formidable and overwhelming force surged to the peripheries.

A soft “thud” echoed.

The electric dome that Nausica had previously erected was pierced, leaving a gaping hole.

Upon breaching the dome, this surge of power continued to radiate outward for several meters before gradually dissipating.

Every eye widened in astonishment at the spectacle.

After what felt like an eternity, Nausica, amidst the lingering mist, gazed at Angel, “Is… is this the manifestation of your true might?”

Angel hesitated momentarily and nodded. In truth, he hadn’t given it his all, but compared to his earlier restraint, he had indeed showcased a semblance of his usual power.

Nausica let out a profound sigh, “Now I think I can fathom what David must have felt.”

In the mysterious world of alchemy, David was so thoroughly defeated that it seemed his very essence had been pulverized. Now, Angel, with his raw, physical power, stands ready to overshadow his peers like a towering oak in a thicket of shrubs…

Although Nausica was somewhat disheartened to see that her self-created Electric Dome couldn’t withstand even one punch from Angel, there was a silver lining: it highlighted the flaws in her invention, offering room for future enhancements.

Witnessing Nausica’s quest for knowledge about his strength and her determination to refine the Electric Dome, Angel felt a deep sense of reassurance.

This very spirit of Nausica was why Angel agreed to reveal his true power. While many might falter after facing such adversity, she stands apart. Instead of wallowing, Nausica would reflect, adapt, and identify her shortcomings.

The more setbacks Nausica faced, the more she shined, evolving into a more captivating and perfect version of herself.

After a short while,

There was a serene chamber accompanying the private arena. Within it, Nausica, Coral, and Pat brothers sat opposite each other in reflection.

Their conversation began with sharing recent experiences. While Angel mostly listened to Nausica’s tales, he himself remained reserved, given that his adventures had been extensively documented in various chronicles.

Nausica’s tales spanned continents: from her time in the bustling lands, to overseas sojourns, and even a stint in the Blackberry Sea Region. Her own narratives painted a picture of a life lived with flair and audacity.

Regarding the riskiest endeavor, Nausica only briefly touched upon it——the bloodline fusion. Saying with a hint of understatement, “It was a bit challenging, encountered some unexpected events, but I managed to handle them all in the end.”

Angel, ever the skeptic, had little faith in vague terms like “a bit” or “some.” After all, that was indicative of a particularly elite Nether Demon Bloodline.

When Nausica first fused with this bloodline, she chose its most powerful form. Despite various precautions to mitigate risks, the danger was immense.

However, it seemed Nausica had no intention of sharing these details. If the outcome was positive, why add unnecessary worry?

“Speaking of which, do you know where Shalem is?” Angel inquired out of the blue. “I heard from David earlier that he too is participating in the Novastar Competition and has already arrived in Sky Mechanical City. Have you met his mother?”

Mention of Shalem caused Nausica and Coral to exchange a glance, their expressions slightly confused.

Coral said, “He’s indeed in Sky Mechanical City, but…”

“But what?” Angel looked at Coral, curiosity piqued.

Nausica glanced at the wall clock, “Judging by the time, he should be heading to the commercial street soon. How about this? I’ll take you to meet him in a while. When you see the changes in him, I bet you’ll be in for quite the surprise.”

Coral nodded in agreement, thinking to herself: To be precise, it’s not about Shalem’s change, but that book of his…

Nausica pulled out a long-stemmed pipe and took a deep drag. Through the veil of smoke, she asked, “By the way, I forgot to ask earlier, what brings you here this time? Are you participating in the Novastar Competition? It seems unlikely, given the current public scrutiny on you.”

“Or do you have other plans in mind?”
