Isabelle had two Conditions: Firstly, she hoped to use the Prelude of Reincarnation to transform the Infant Spirits back into a regular soul. Secondly, she wished to forge a bond of friendship with Phantom Island.

The first request was anticipated.

The second one, however, raised an eyebrow for Sanders. The matter should have been a private affair between Isabelle and Angel. Yet, Isabelle expanded it to be an issue between Black Castle and Phantom Island, which was somewhat unexpected.

But on second thought, Sanders understood Isabelle’s intentions.

Deep down, Isabelle hoped to maintain a cordial relationship with Angel. But it was evident to her that Angel had a distaste, even an aversion, for Black Castle, especially when confronted with Isabella. His displeasure was palpable.

Even if Isabelle proposed a friendly stance with Angel, he might superficially agree, but the sincerity would be questionable.

Given this scenario, Isabelle opted to broaden the scope of her interaction. The inherent potential of Phantom Island was already comparable to, and even might surpass, Black Castle. Furthermore, Angel was an integral part of Phantom Island. He couldn’t avoid these dealings. Hence, forging this friendship was mutually beneficial.

Sanders himself wasn’t opposed to fostering a bond with Black Castle; it was a symbiotic proposition.

On the other hand, Angel wasn’t too surprised by Isabelle’s requests. Concerning establishing a relationship with Phantom Island, this matter wasn’t really under Angel’s jurisdiction. Hence, his primary responsibility was the first condition.

Angel chose to consent.

At a glance, it might seem like Angel was at a disadvantage, exerting effort and expending energy, only to finally acquiesce to Isabelle’s demands. But upon closer examination, there was no clear loss. If one were to split hairs, Angel might even have come out slightly ahead.

In this bizarre and mysterious turn of events, both parties share a certain responsibility.

After all, the birth of Princess Guman was the doing of Angel. While he might not be entirely to blame for the subsequent upheaval, he undeniably played an unerasable role in the saga.

The raw material Angel wanted for his white light bullet——the Soul, originated from the ghosts of Black Castle. Even though the castle is currently cleansing itself of these ghosts, at the core of it all, these ghosts still belong to Black Castle.

Moreover, Angel assisted Isabelle in transforming Infant Spirits into regular souls. Not only would the white light bullets he used come from Black Castle, but he could also obtain richer experimental data from the Prelude of Reincarnation.

So, looking at the bigger picture, Angel didn’t lose out. Besides, Isabelle would compensate him separately, ensuring a small profit for him.

What’s more, Angel ultimately secured Princess Guman.

Therefore, their mutual demands weren’t excessive. Isabelle, hoping to win Angel over, even relaxed her requirements and offered incentives.

Under these circumstances, there was no reason for Angel to refuse.

With Angel’s agreement, Sanders also expressed approval of forging a friendship. Isabelle responded with a subtle smile, conveying through a mental link, “I’ll entrust the source of chaos to you. I’ll provide an explanation to Black Castle.”

Without hesitation, Isabelle announced the decision to everyone present.

The reactions from the members of Black Castle varied — some were displeased, others resigned, and a few were furious. However, it was Isabelle’s decision, and they had no power to oppose her.

Kimberly glanced at Angel, seemingly realizing something. She gave him a friendly nod and smile, maintaining her usual warmth and familiarity.

Isabella remained stoic, her gaze fixed intently on Isabelle. Whatever decision Isabelle made, Isabella wasn’t about to contradict it.

At that moment, Isabelle announced that Black Castle would be forming an alliance with Phantom Island in the future.

To this, everyone present seemed to unanimously agree. Even though both Isabelle and Kimberly had returned to the Southern Region, the state of Black Castle was not as good as one might think. Other than some associations with the Candy House, their relations with other wizard organizations in Fairytale Town were rather unremarkable.

The potential of Phantom Island was evident. With two true knowledge wizards overseeing and Angel, the alchemist of the Research Institute, and the support from a massive organization like the Savage Grottoes, forming an alliance with Phantom Island was a splendid idea.

Of course, Isabelle’s announcement was merely a future intention.

For a genuine alliance to be established between the two parties, many ceremonies and contracts would be essential. After all, human intentions can be as unpredictable as shifting clouds and tricky waters. Such an agreement, beneficial for both sides, requires certain checks and balances.

When the time comes for the true alliance, core members from both sides would inevitably attend, and it’s not something that can be settled with just a few words.

However, Isabelle’s announcement of this intention did alleviate some of the general discontent. Handing over the instigator of the chaos, Princess Guman, to Angel was silently acknowledged by all.

The only stipulation was that they did not wish to see Princess Guman return to Black Castle and stir up turmoil. Angel, naturally, readily agreed to this.

Both parties reached a consensus. The only one who expressed dissent was Princess Guman. Her gaze was dark as she watched the unfolding events, feeling a disdain for both Angel’s side and Black Castle faction.

The more Princess Guman thought about it, the angrier and more resentful she became. A dark aura that usually lingered around her now became intensely dense.

Sanders noticed this and remarked, “Is something wrong with her?”

While Angel has dispatched many ghosts, his knowledge about them is quite limited. Yet, he sensed that something was wrong with Princess Guman.

Isabelle, an expert on souls, might be the only one present who could provide an answer.

Under the resentful gaze of Princess Guman, Isabelle meticulously examined her. “A fascinating half-ghost state,” she observed, “both stability and chaos coexist within her — something I’ve never seen before.”

Isabelle expressed her astonishment before providing an explanation. “The chaotic energy inside her is currently surging. This is my first encounter with such an unusual half-ghost, and I’m unsure if she might revert back to a full ghost. But from what I see, if the chaotic energy continues to rise unchecked…”

“Whether she’ll transform back into a full ghost due to excessive chaotic energy remains uncertain,” Isabelle continued. “But there’s a high likelihood that the imbalance could lead to her ghost form collapsing.”

Isabelle paused for a moment before suggesting, “If you wish to save her, either she stops herself, or…” Her gaze shifted to the ‘Prelude of Reincarnation’ in Angel’s hand. The implication was clear: Use the white light bullet to rapidly stabilize the tumultuous energy within her, or turn her back into a soul to avert the impending crisis.

As for letting Princess Guman stop on her own, given the intense resentment in her eyes, that seemed implausible.

The only viable solution now is to rescue her from her fallen state and revert her back into a soul.

Initially, Princess Guman was hit with a white light bullet, so at least five more bullets are required to turn her back into a soul. The magazine of the ‘Prelude of Reincarnation’, due to the previous misuse of one bullet, only contained three.

Thus, Angel needs to secure at least two more bullets.

As the dark aura around Princess Guman grew denser, Angel, not wanting to lose such a valuable research subject, knew he had to collect the bullets immediately. For the time being, he entrusted the care of Princess Guman to Isabelle.

The ghostly inhabitants of Black Castle still lingered in abundance. However, with the disappearance of Princess Guman, they were no longer as densely gathered as before, instead gradually dispersing.

To completely eradicate these ghosts would require some time. But if the goal was merely to gather a few white light bullets, it wouldn’t take long at all.

Approximately half an hour later, at the Corpse Forest.

“Bang.”

Angel calmly fired a shot. Ripples emanated from the barrel, and nearly a hundred advancing ghosts instantly dispersed into luminous specks, fading into the wind.

Simultaneously, a faint white glow burrowed into the Prelude of Reincarnation.

Angel glanced at his magazine and a hint of joy flashed in his eyes. After a hard-fought half-hour, the fifth white light bullet was now ready!

He took a moment to survey his surroundings. He’d been battling in the Corpse Forest for a good while, but the number of ghosts around him seemed hardly diminished, indicating just how densely they populated the area.

Angel pondered. While five bullets seemed almost sufficient, considering the sheer number of ghosts here, it probably wouldn’t take much longer to get one more to fully load the Prelude of Reincarnation.

With that thought, Angel prepared to continue clearing out the surrounding ghosts.

However, at that moment, a message suddenly came from the other end of his mental link. Sanders urgently conveyed, “Princess Guman’s half-ghost form is showing signs of destabilization. Once you’re done collecting the bullets, hurry over!”

Upon hearing Sanders’ words, Angel immediately abandoned the quest for the final bullet, swiftly making his way back to the surface.

Arriving at his initial spot, he noticed that the other witches had vanished. Only Kimberley, the master-disciple pair of Isabelle, and Sanders remained.

“Isabelle has already sent the others back to the Soul Domain,” Sanders explained.

Angel nodded, recognizing Isabelle’s thoughtfulness in the gesture. Since the others were unaware of the true purpose of the Prelude of Reincarnation, Isabelle had sent them back first, considering Angel’s position.

Approaching the barrier, Angel could barely discern the silhouette of Princess Guman within, the interior dominated by an oppressive darkness.

With the dark energy so pervasive, it was no wonder Sanders had urgently relayed the situation.

“The chaotic energy has already taken over nearly ninety percent of the spirit body. Signs of collapse have begun to appear,” Isabelle informed Angel.

There’s no time to waste; they had to act immediately.

Realizing this, Angel acknowledged Isabelle, drawing out the Prelude of Reincarnation and aiming it directly at Princess Guman inside the barrier.

A peculiar ripple began to form, with a white light gradually gathering at the gun’s muzzle.

Now, all eyes were fixated on the unfolding scene.

While they had heard that the white light bullet could transform a ghost back into a regular soul, none had witnessed it firsthand. Their decision to remain was solely to behold this spectacle.

A moment that could defy the norms of the Wizarding World!

Isabelle was particularly exhilarated. As a soul magic wizard, she understood the significance of turning a ghost back into a regular soul!

Isabelle’s eyes remained wide open, unwilling to even blink. Missing even an instant would be a loss to her.

At last, a bullet, trailed by a tail of white light, shot from the chamber!

Everyone awaited the miracle they hoped to witness.

However, at that moment, an unexpected twist suddenly occurred!
