In the central district of Sky Mechanical City, there stands an elliptical structure.

This building is the cornerstone of Sky Mechanical City’s prosperity——the Teleportation Hall.

It provides almost comprehensive access to various directions of the Southern Region’s Wizarding World, with teleportation agreements in place with hundreds of wizard organizations and families, establishing the city as the focal point for trade in the Southern Region’s Wizarding World.

On this day, an attendant responsible for the western section of the Teleportation Hall received a message from the main control panel.

“Please be advised, the teleportation formation to the Fairytale World’s Silent Hill has been activated. We detect three living entities. Prepare to receive them.”

The teleportation attendant promptly donned a respectful expression and approached. Any long-distance teleportation undoubtedly involves formal wizards, and showing respect to formal wizards is a rule that every apprentice must abide by.

As the cerulean glow illuminated the space, three figures materialized on the teleportation platform.

The moment the attendant saw the faces of the arrivals, his heart drummed wildly, and he was momentarily stunned. He had assumed only one wizard would be among them, but to his surprise, they were all wizards.

Though he didn’t recognize the female wizard, the other two — both Lord Phantom Master and Angel, who was currently a rising star — were no strangers to him.

Wait, is Angel… a wizard?

After a long pause, the teleportation attendant suddenly realized that the arrivals were… three formal wizards!

Does this mean that what’s recorded in —Sky of Truth— is accurate? Angel is already a formal wizard?!

By the time he snapped back to reality to double-check, the teleportation platform was already empty.

Simultaneously, on the outskirts of the main district of Sky Mechanical City, a door was opened.

The three individuals who had disappeared on the teleportation platform earlier walked out from the door in succession.

Upon emerging from the door, Gloria looked at Angel, who appeared unfazed, and inquired, “I heard from people in Black Castle that you possess a spell for short-distance teleportation. Is this it?”

Seeing Angel nod in acknowledgment, Gloria couldn’t help but exclaim, “Even though it’s just short-distance, there’s absolutely no sensation of being constrained, which speaks volumes about the stability of the spatial energy involved. In the realm of short-distance teleportation spells, this is undoubtedly top-rank.”

After praising Angel, Gloria added, “You’re using magic right in the main city area. Aren’t you worried about drawing the attention of law enforcement?”

Angel paused for a moment before brandishing an access card from the Research Institute.

Gloria: “… I forgot you’re a member of the Research Institute.”

Members of the Research Institute can be considered the highest echelon in Sky Mechanical City. Even if you’re not a native of the city, membership alone grants you certain privileges, extending even to some control over the city’s resources.

Therefore, Angel using magic in the main city wouldn’t be subject to scrutiny.

However, the fluctuations from the Gateway of Fantasy that Angel had just used were undoubtedly recorded… implying that the higher-ups in Sky Mechanical City were already aware of Angel’s return.

As expected, as soon as the Gateway of Fantasy dissipated, Angel’s communication device began to flicker.

The device, a transparent glass slate Angel received upon joining the Research Institute, lit up. A light-blue, humanoid spirit emerged from the screen.

“Lord Pat, welcome back to Sky Mechanical City,” said the ethereal figure, its voice tinged with an elegant cadence.

“Antonio?”

The message had come from none other than Antonio, the guardian spirit of the Creation Hall.

“What do you need from me?” Angel curiously inquired.

“Lord Pat, Lord Muse is currently in seclusion. Before he entered his retreat, he told me that should you arrive in Sky Mechanical City, I am to host you for any subsequent matters.”

“I understand. Once I’ve finished my current tasks, I’ll make a trip to Enchanted Mechanical City,” Angel nodded, suspecting that the “subsequent matters” referred to by Director Muse likely concerned a special assignment as a judge.

“I look forward to welcoming you soon,” Antonio said, his form gradually fading away.

When it came to matters of the Research Institute, neither Sanders nor Gloria felt it was their place to pry. Thus, for a time that followed, no one spoke of Antonio.

The Gateway of Fantasy opened at a location near Sanders’ mansion in Sky Mechanical City.

Upon returning to the estate, Sanders retreated to his study. Butler No. 1 led Gloria to her temporary room.

Angel, meanwhile, sat on the sofa in the grand hall, taking out a letter sealed with an intricate stamp.

The envelope read: “To Wizard Pat, with personal regards.”

Angel carefully unfolded the letter and began reading. After he finished, his face remained impassive, but a glint of irony shone in his eyes.

“Is that the letter you just received from Wizard Ivan?” Gloria entered the living room at that moment, dressed more casually and holding a cup of tea that emitted a rose fragrance.

Noticing Angel’s gaze on her teacup, Gloria waved her hand, and a similar cup of rose tea appeared before him.

Angel picked up the cup and took a sip, filling his mouth with the rich aroma.

“Rose tea doesn’t seem like your style, does it?” Angel set down the cup.

Gloria paused for a moment, then gave a wry smile. “Can’t help it. I’m influenced by this young body.”

Even though the soul of this body was under Gloria’s control, she didn’t destroy the young girl’s soul; she only let it slumber in the Soul Realm. Consequently, as time passed, Gloria’s preferences, actions, and behaviors slowly began to be influenced by the girl.

To remain uninfluenced, she’d either have to completely annihilate the girl’s soul or recover her original body.

“I can only hope to regain my body soon,” Gloria sighed, steering the conversation away.

Angel shifted the topic back to the letter at hand. “Yes, this letter was given to me by Wizard Ivan when we left Silent Hill. However, it wasn’t written by him.”

“It’s not from him?” Gloria mused. “That makes sense. Wizard Ivan is generally congenial; he probably hasn’t offended you. Judging by your expression, you seem to find the contents of the letter distasteful.”

Angel didn’t reply but handed the letter over to Gloria.

After reading it, Gloria broke into laughter. “So, it’s an apology letter from Taros. However, true to his nature, it’s stingy, full of apologies but devoid of any substantive compensation.”

Gloria knew about Angel’s issues with the ‘Two-Faced Stone Spirit’ Taros, and after reading the letter, she understood why Angel looked so disdainful.

“So, will you accept such an insincere apology?”

“Why not? After all, Wizard Ivan secretly gave me not just this letter but also this.” Angel pulled out a card.

The card was completely black, etched with the emblem of Silent Hill.

Gloria took a quick glance and immediately recognized it. “Oh, a VIP card from the Silent Commerce Guild?”

Many wizard organizations actually have their own guilds or shops, like the Stormy Boutique by Stormy Valley, which specializes in selling magical materials indigenous to the area. The Silent Commerce Guild is no different; they stand behind the sales of magical materials specifically from Silent Hill.

This VIP card offers a 50% discount when purchasing magical materials from the Silent Commerce Guild, although certain special materials are excluded.

Though Angel dislikes Taros, no matter how he seeks retribution, he ultimately can’t kill him. After all, as the Stone Spirit, Taros serves as the gatekeeper of Silent Hill. Killing Taros would be tantamount to declaring war on Silent Hill.

Taros has sent this apology letter; while not entirely sincere, the VIP card gifted by Wizard Ivan is a valuable token.

Given that Angel can’t truly eliminate Taros, this decision aligns with maximizing the benefits at hand.

Accepting the apology doesn’t mean that Angel has forgiven Taros.

It simply means that Angel won’t openly target Taros anymore.

Of course, if Taros doesn’t continue to provoke, Angel also doesn’t have the time to deal with him behind the scenes.

As the moon ascends into the sky, the azure firmament transitions to a tapestry of stars.

After a full day of study, Angel finally sets down the hefty tome he holds.

Under the bright luminescence of glowstone, one can see elegant cursive lettering on the book’s cover: —Transformation Spell’s Essentials—.

Ever since advancing as a wizard, Angel had been focusing on the spell “Alchemy Workshop.”

However, mastering spells often requires time, measured in months, years, or even decades. Now that Angel is studying not tricks but genuine wizard spells——Alchemy Workshop, the time investment is likely to be even greater.

With no progress in the Alchemy Workshop, Angel is prepared to put it aside for now and prioritize learning transformation spells.

After all, it’s been established that the “Snot Creature” is actually a Morphing Softworm. By grafting the skin of the Morphing Softworm, mastering the shape-shifting spell would be far simpler than tinkering in an Alchemy Workshop.

Moreover, Angel hasn’t forgotten about the Tidal Realm. Learning shape-shifting is a prerequisite for entering that domain.

Though the skin of the Morphing Softworm offers a shortcut to swiftly acquiring this shape-shifting spell, taking the route of grafting certainly necessitates supplementary measures to prevent the procedure from failing.

Angel spent the entire day gathering the materials needed for these supplementary measures, preparing for future acquisitions.

After a full day’s work, Angel felt he had sorted things out pretty well.

Just as he was stretching and double-checking the compatibility of the materials, he noticed a slight disturbance in the barrier around the mansion.

Angel stepped onto the balcony for a better look but couldn’t discern any specific issues. What he did notice was Gloria sitting leisurely on a rooftop opposite, sipping a small drink.

When Angel flew over to Gloria, she casually handed him a glass of wine.

Angel took the glass but didn’t drink, instead asking, “Is something happening outside?”

Gloria chuckled and pointed in the distance, “Young folks are always so energetic; they can stir up a storm whenever.”

Following the direction of Gloria’s pointing finger, Angel looked into the pitch-black night. Against the backdrop of a gigantic moon, he saw two figures emitting fluctuations of energy, neither willing to yield to the other.
