Upon opening the door, Freud is greeted by the face of Marilyn, the city’s ruler.

Marilyn appears markedly different from her usual composed state. She wears an expression of urgency, as if burdened with something crucial to communicate. However, the exertion of running from the lower levels to the top of Azure Tower has clearly taken its toll on her. Even as she repeatedly clutches her chest, her words come out in broken sentences: “Lord Tyson, something terrible has happened outside… outside… there’s been an incident!”

The more frantic she becomes, the more difficult it is for her to articulate her thoughts fully.

Nonetheless, upon hearing the word “outside,” Freud instantly understands what Marilyn might be hinting at — probably some surprising shift in the weather.

“What’s so alarming about a change in weather? Have you never seen a clear day before?” Freud chides her dismissively.

Marilyn hurriedly shakes her head, her breath gradually steadying. “No, it’s not like that. The weather outside isn’t clear. It’s very peculiar, and people have gone missing.”

Freud pauses for a moment.

Why would “peculiar weather” and “people gone missing” be mentioned together? What internal logic connects these two?

“Could it be that a thunderstorm struck someone out of existence?” Freud wonders aloud, puzzled. He then heads toward the patio door, intending to assess the situation himself. Just as he’s about to step out, a bolt of lightning descends from the sky, striking the ground not far from where he stands.

Surveying the scorched earth before him, complete with a sizeable crater, Freud freezes in place, momentarily speechless.

Has he just jinxed himself?

Could it really be divine retribution, reducing people to mere ashes?

However, the reality is different: people have indeed disappeared, but not because they were struck by lightning; rather, they were swept away by the gale.

Freud stood at the pinnacle of Azure Tower, taking in the vista of Initial Heart City. There was only one word he could use to describe the current state of affairs: utter chaos.

Now he finally understood why Marilyn had so emphatically claimed that the weather outside had turned bizarre.

Sunshine in the east, rain in the west; thunder here, wind there. The only thing missing was frost and snow. How could this not be strange?

Azure Tower, serving as the heart of Initial Heart City, divided the sky like a line of demarcation, as if cleaving day from twilight. On one side, dark clouds loomed and gales roared in an endless night; on the other, daylight blazed and lightning writhed in a surreal sky.

“What in the world is going on? The Celestial Cycle is completely out of whack… Has it gone mad?” Freud stared at the scene before him, his voice slow, as if he were muttering in a dream.

Marilyn stood before Freud, a look of urgency in her eyes: “Not too long ago, a rainbow streaked across the sky, and everyone noticed that the perennially misty weather had cleared up. People were so excited that nearly the whole city took to the streets to celebrate. I was puzzled as well and worried that the clear sky might just be a fluke, an unlikely occurrence that might not happen again. So I didn’t instruct the city defense team to restrain the jubilant crowd.”

At this point, Marilyn appeared somewhat remorseful: “And then, disaster struck. The weather abruptly turned chaotic, becoming what it is now. Due to the sudden change, many people couldn’t take cover in time, and some were even swept away by the wind, vanishing without a trace.”

This was the first major incident Marilyn had encountered since becoming the city’s leader. Although it was a natural disaster, the fact that it occurred during a public celebration she failed to manage properly left her both guilt-ridden and dejected.

“You shouldn’t blame yourself. This capricious weather has nothing to do with you,” a deep, pleasant voice whispered into Marilyn’s ears. She turned around to find that the person speaking was none other than the legendary “Master of the New World.”

Earlier, when Marilyn had entered, she had noticed the presence of Angel and Sanders but didn’t greet them immediately, preoccupied as she was with the unfolding crisis outside.

Marilyn was about to bow, but Angel stopped her and then asked, “Who was swept away? How is everyone else?”

Without delay, Marilyn immediately responded, “With the help of the city defense team, everyone has returned to the buildings. The one who was swept away by the fierce wind is a child named Lado. Tulas, the sheriff, and the chief of security Knight Sabel have been searching everywhere, but there’s no sign of him as of yet.”

Lado? Is it him?

Hearing this name, Angel felt a jolt of surprise in his heart.

He had a recollection of this individual. Lado and Labu were brothers; Labu was the elder, and Lado was the younger. They seemed to get along well with a couple of mischievous kids from the orphanage. Freud had mentioned earlier that Labu and Sunny were getting close, while Lado was Alda’s first good friend in the Wilderness of Dreams, so they were naturally quite close.

When Angel had gone to look for Jon previously, he had also seen these two brothers at Ocean Theatre.

Aware of what Lado looked like, Angel quickly scanned the area of Initial Heart City and its surroundings through his godly perspective.

Soon, his survey of Initial Heart City was complete, but there was no sign of Lado. Angel then extended his gaze beyond the city limits. After a brief search, he finally spotted Lado curled up on the ground, about a mile away from the city.

However, it seemed that Lado was unconscious, lying motionless on the ground.

“I’ve found him,” Angel’s voice captured everyone’s attention. “He’s outside the city and appears to have fainted.”

Marilyn wasn’t sure how Angel had located him, but she was well aware that Angel, as the ‘Master of the New World,’ must possess extraordinary powers. Without pressing for details, she immediately said, “I will inform the sheriff so that he can go and pick him up.”

Outside Initial Heart City was a restricted area, and currently only Tulas was permitted to venture out. Therefore, Marilyn’s first thought was of Tulas.

Angel shook his head, “No need. I’ve already brought him here. You can go inform his elder brother Labu to come and pick him up.”

Marilyn was somewhat puzzled as to how Angel planned to bring Lado over. Her mind was still a bit hazy, but she walked to the door and sent one of her subordinates to relay the message to Lado.

When Marilyn returned to the terrace, she was met by a sudden gust of wind. She was wearing a skirt that day, and the ill-timed wind caused it to flutter wildly. To avoid an embarrassing situation, Marilyn had no choice but to hold down her skirt with both hands, gritting her teeth as she waited for the wind to cease.

When the wind finally stopped, Marilyn was about to adjust her windblown hair, but she froze in place, unable to move.

Not far away, a child wearing a red tie was lifted by the wind and dropped onto the terrace.

Ignoring his appearance, Marilyn hurriedly took a few steps forward, bent down, and found it was indeed Lado, who had been carried away by the wind earlier.

Blown away and then returned by the wind.

Marilyn couldn’t help but glance at Angel. Was this what he meant by “bring him over”? Was this the power to manipulate the wind?

As Marilyn was pondering these questions, Freud had already started to examine Lado’s condition.

After all, the Wilderness of Dreams is an extension of the Dream Realm. The inhabitants here are less prone to physical injuries because they aren’t corporeal entities. But if they do get hurt, the foundational spiritual light of their consciousness is likely compromised.

It was precisely because Lado was unconscious that Angel had brought him directly to Azure Tower for Freud to examine his physical condition.

Freud inspected Lado very carefully and finally concluded: “He should be uninjured, probably just passed out from fright.”

Upon confirming that Lado was merely frightened, Marilyn sighed in relief. However, although Lado’s issue was resolved, what was to be done about this turbulent weather?

While Marilyn was worrying, Freud turned to Angel and asked, “Lord, is there a problem with the Celestial Cycle? Why has the weather here gone so chaotic?”

Angel examined the Celestial Cycle through the Power Tree but found no anomalies.

Yet, the Chaos before his eyes served as irrefutable evidence.

Angel furrowed his brow, harboring a speculative thought. What if the Wilderness of Dreams was like a mischievous child, testing out every possible weather condition after gaining the Power of the Celestial Cycle? And since any experiment needs an observer, perhaps this spectacle was solely for the people in Initial Heart City, the only populated area amidst the vast wilderness?

Although Angel considered this theory rather implausible, he couldn’t pinpoint the exact reason for the current predicament.

However, for Angel, knowing the reason wasn’t crucial; what mattered was resolving the issue at hand.

Addressing Marilyn, the lord of the city, Angel opined, “The current weather may simply be a fleeting upheaval, perhaps due to the prolonged, foggy conditions we’ve experienced. It shouldn’t last long; the sky will clear up soon.”

As his words hung in the air, Marilyn noticed the skies gradually clearing, the chaotic clouds dispersing to reveal a tranquil, azure sky.

The beleaguered Initial Heart City finally returned to normal.

“See? The sky has cleared up,” Angel said.

Marilyn was well aware that matters couldn’t be so straightforward. The change in weather undoubtedly involved Angel’s intervention.

After a moment’s hesitation, Marilyn inquired, “Is this clear weather just temporary? Will we return to our previous climatic conditions?”

Angel responded with a sly smile, “The ever-changing Celestial Cycles are unpredictable. How could I possibly know? Now that the sky has cleared, perhaps you should go comfort the citizens. I doubt such erratic weather will occur again.”

The ripples caused by the changes in the Celestial Cycle had, at last, come to rest.

Lado’s brother Labu arrived at this moment as well. When Labu saw Lado lying on the ground, he felt a wave of panic wash over him.

Freud and Labu were clearly well-acquainted. Freud reassured him, saying, “Don’t worry, your younger brother has just fainted from shock; he’s not in any serious danger. You should take him home.”

Upon hearing Freud’s words, Labu let out a sigh of relief, nodded at Freud, and tenderly lifted Lado, preparing to leave.

However, just at that moment, Angel suddenly called out, “Wait a moment.”

Angel stepped forward and scrutinized Labu closely, as if he had discovered something.

After a brief pause, Angel waved his hand dismissively, “Alright, you can go now.”

Angel’s behavior was certainly strange, but Labu had met him before and was aware of his identity. Not daring to show disrespect or voice any complaints, Labu bowed courteously. He then opened the door and left with Lado.
