Inside the Woodrow Bar, the Bliss Pavilion.

Everyone gathered around the long table in the main hall, which was laden with bountiful and vibrant food.

The air was thick with rich aromas.

Yet, not a single person spoke.

Within this tranquil setting, the only sound that could be heard was the gentle bubbling of Sunisha creating a fragrant red wine using the petal spell.

The prolonged and palpable silence was finally broken by a sudden “bang” of a door opening.

A chubby little fellow, donned in a snug wizard’s robe, wiped the sweat from his forehead and walked in. As he approached the long table, Coral, seated atop a stool, was the first to inquire, “Alan, what did you find out from your investigations? Any news?”

Alan paused for a moment before shaking his head, “I went into the mansion and encountered Azaz.”

At the mention of the name Azaz, Carvelyn slightly lifted his head.

“Azaz is now accompanying Lady Barbie and resides in the mansion,” Alan elaborated briefly about Azaz’s situation, then continued addressing Coral, “Azaz informed me that Lord Pat has been in seclusion for ten days now, never leaving his laboratory.”

Coral’s brow furrowed, “Still?”

Alan nodded in confirmation, “When I went, he was still inside the laboratory.”

A hint of disappointment flashed across Coral’s face as she turned to look at Leon, dressed in a knight’s soft armor, “You haven’t heard from him either?”

Leon scratched his temple and shook his head, “I haven’t seen my younger brother in over ten days either.” He had intentionally visited the Wilderness of Dreams before, but Freud informed him that Angel hadn’t been there during that time.

Both Alan and Leon had no news of Angel, leaving Coral with no choice but to sigh and turn to Nausica, who sat in the main seat, “It seems we won’t be seeing Angel.”

“It’s no matter,” replied Nausica with a faint smile. She picked up the pipe from the table, lighting the tobacco with the candle and taking a deep drag, “I’m only leaving for a while, not a final goodbye. Whether or not we tell Angel doesn’t matter. If I wish to see him, I can do so when I return.”

Coral sounded somewhat despondent, “But…”

No one knew when Nausica’s journey would end. Moreover, whether she could return safely was a question mark.

Because of this uncertainty about Nausica’s departure today, Coral specifically asked Alan to go to the manor and bring Angel. At least everyone could have a reunion before parting.

Regrettably, Angel was not present.

“If every farewell requires a send-off, then it seems our lives would be nothing but farewells,” Nausica chuckled, “And if my former crew members heard of this, they’d probably laugh at me.”

“As a pirate, I witness farewells every day. Sometimes they are… final goodbyes. I’ve long become accustomed to traveling solo. Being together sometimes feels odd.”

The calmer Nausica’s laughter, the more heartbroken her close friend, Coral, felt. Angel was just a trigger point. What worried her more was the safety of her friend after she left. Coral was well aware that Nausica’s destination this time might present significant dangers. If Angel were around, even if he couldn’t dissuade Nausica from leaving, he might offer some assistance.

“Don’t worry about me,” Nausica rose and approached Coral, enveloping her in a gentle embrace. “I promise to return safely.”

Coral hesitated, “But…”

Nausica planted a soft kiss on Coral’s forehead, offering solace, “Rest assured.”

The gesture from Nausica instilled a sense of calm in Coral. She opened her mouth, intending to voice her concerns, but upon locking eyes with Nausica’s unwavering gaze, she chose silence.

At that moment, Shalem stood up and addressed Coral, “Lord Asbay will continue to uphold the glory of the Blackberry Queen.”

After a brief pause, as if to emphasize his conviction, Shalem turned to Nausica and added, “I believe.”

Nausica nodded in agreement with Shalem, echoing, “I believe as well.”

A quiet moment passed before Nausica spoke, “Initially, I didn’t wish to alert anyone and planned to depart alone. However, since you’ve all become aware of my departure and even arranged this farewell banquet, I’m compelled to partake.”

“I’ve already coordinated with Reynolds. The wizard responsible for the teleportation is prepared, and I dare not delay further. Since Angel couldn’t make it, let’s start without further ado, lest we squander the kindness shown by Sunisha.”

With those words, Nausica was the first to lift a glass of rose wine and took a sip.

Following Nausica’s lead, everyone began to partake in the feast set before them. The initial somber atmosphere dissolved, replaced by lively banter and laughter, rejuvenating the banquet.

Even the ever-sleeping Hilary roused from her slumber, joining in the jovial discussions with everyone.

Joyful moments, as they say, always fly by swiftly.

When the sun at midday filtered through the gaps in the curtains, the wall clock in the corner chimed. The treehouse-shaped door at the top of the clock face was nudged open, and out flew a mechanical bird. The bird circled in the air twice, its metallic voice marking the time. Eventually, it flew back into the treehouse and disappeared from sight.

Nausica exhaled a misty breath and brushed a strand of hair that had fallen over her ear, remarking, “It’s time. I should head to the teleportation hall in the main city.”

The room’s cheerful ambiance instantly grew somber.

“Don’t see me out. I’ll be back soon,” Nausica said, avoiding sentimental goodbyes and not heeding anyone’s parting words. She packed away her pipe and strode towards the exit.

Nausica’s figure quickly vanished from view, leaving behind only a faint echo of her voice, “Stay diligent in the Endless Corridor’s trials. When I return, I’ll catch up with your progress, perhaps even surpassing you. After all, my return signifies that I’ve acquired what I desired…”

With Nausica’s departure, a weighty silence enveloped the hall.

“Nausica is quite the intriguing character,” commented Carvelyn, who had been munching on something on the side, speaking for the first time. “I believe she’s right. Instead of worrying about her safety, perhaps you should be more concerned about yourselves. She, in all essence, seems more fit to be a wizard than any of you.”

Though Carvelyn’s tone had a hint of jest at the group’s expense, given the present mood, no one offered a counter.

Coral held Gank’s arm with a touch of melancholy, and even Hilary’s usually composed face betrayed a hint of sadness.

But it was Shalem who remained stoic, saying, “I trust her decisions. After all, she is Nausica.”

“I trust her too,” sighed Coral, settling down. “Partings are always a bit poignant. It’s just a shame that Angel couldn’t make it this time…”

When Coral mentioned this, a soft rustling noise suddenly reached everyone’s ears.

Carvelyn was the first to react. She raised an eyebrow and remarked, “The main gate of the courtyard has been pushed open.”

As soon as her words fell, a male voice suddenly echoed through the hall, “Is Sleepy Trickle to Flowing Stream here?”

The previously drowsy Hilary, with a touch of confusion, opened his eyes. With Coral’s assistance, he settled onto Gank’s back and made his way out of the hall.

Upon reaching the courtyard, they discovered a teenager adorned with skull accessories, lazily looking around, embodying a somewhat dramatic flair.

“Glen, how… why are you here?” Alan asked, a touch of surprise evident in his gaze.

Ignoring Alan, Glen’s attention was solely on Hilary. He declared, “Sleepy Trickle to Flowing Stream, your alchemy order has been completed. I’ve come specially to deliver it.”

As Glen took out a spatial capsule, he murmured, “A little secret for you — this was crafted by Lord Pat.”

“Lord Pat?” Coral paused, processing the information. “Are you implying he has finished his seclusion?”
