In the Wizarding World teetering on the edge of chaos, the disappearance of Silkvine was not considered a significant event. Moreover, Angel wasn’t well-acquainted with Silkvine, giving him no reason or desire to intervene.

However, since Helen was deeply concerned about Silkvine, relaying a message on her behalf to the law enforcement team wasn’t a big deal.

Upon hearing Angel’s words, Helen’s eyes lit up instantly.

From the perspective of the law enforcement team, Silkvine’s disappearance was likely not a major concern. After all, she wasn’t a person of great importance. Even if Silkvine had been abducted within Sky Mechanical City, it probably wouldn’t have stirred any significant ripples, let alone near its vicinity.

But, if the news came from Angel, given his standing within the Research Institute, the law enforcement team would undoubtedly take it seriously.

With the aid of the law enforcement team, there might be news of Silkvine soon!

Thinking of this, Helen nodded eagerly to Angel. She then recounted, in great detail, the events of that day.

Rewinding time to half a month ago——

Just as Little Six had mentioned, that day Silkvine, in a rare move, did not go to the Endless Corridor. Instead, she wanted to accompany Helen on a leisurely stroll.

At the time, they were simply out shopping. After all, Sky Mechanical City was the first massive, extraordinary city Helen had seen since entering the Wizarding World. During the Novastar Competition, Helen hadn’t roamed much. Now, with Silkvine by her side, her innate curiosity led her to explore the city.

After a cursory tour of most of the city, perhaps Silkvine felt that the metal-built fortresses weren’t much to see. She thus suggested visiting other cities in the Gloriosa Kingdom.

Helen naturally agreed. However, what she hadn’t expected was that this trip would bring about a major twist.

Three hundred kilometers north of Sky Mechanical City, they encountered a group of peculiar individuals. These people seemed to have abruptly emerged from a rift in the void, traveling in an odd shuttle-shaped flying vehicle.

At the time, they deliberately kept their distance, but to their surprise, the Shuttlecraft halted right in front of them. The passengers then disembarked, barring their way.

After what seemed like a brief exchange among these peculiar individuals, they turned their attention to Silkvine. Without any further discussion, they kidnapped her.

“Did they mention why they took Silkvine?” Angel asked, puzzled.

Helen shook her head, “No.”

“Could it be someone from Silkvine’s past, seeking revenge?” Little Six inquired.

Still shaking her head, Helen replied, “No, Silkvine mentioned she didn’t recognize these people. Furthermore, the leader of this group is a formal wizard; it’s improbable for Silkvine to have an enmity with such a figure.”

The mere presence of a formal wizard was intimidating enough. Under his imposing aura, Silkvine was captured, and Helen sustained serious injuries, losing consciousness on the spot.

When Helen regained her senses, the assailants were gone. Battling through her pain, she used the flying feathers given to her by Silkvine to return to Sky Mechanical City.

After recounting the incident, a myriad of emotions — anger, helplessness, and sorrow — lingered in Helen’s eyes.

Having heard the entire account, Angel couldn’t deduce any useful leads. However, the inexplicable kidnapping was indeed perplexing.

Reflecting for a moment, Angel posed two questions that weighed heavily on his mind.

First, who was this formal wizard?

In response, Helen admitted her unfamiliarity with wizards’ appearances, given her short time in the Wizarding World. However, based on her description, Angel used an illusion spell to recreate the wizard’s visage.

The man appeared to be middle-aged, with a stern, classic facial structure that strongly resembled traditional Chinese characters. Most notably, he possessed a hawkish, hooked nose that caught immediate attention.

As the illusion spell sketched out the individual’s appearance, a glint of confusion flashed in Angel’s eyes. He didn’t recognize this person. Recently, Angel had refreshed a lot of his general knowledge. While he didn’t claim to know all the formal wizards, he was at least familiar with the notable ones.

But this man, Angel had no recollection of him at all.

Even Little Six was puzzled. Little Six is one of the lirbarians of the Dove Library. Her daily tasks revolve around organizing books. Even though her reservoir of knowledge might be lesser than Angel’s, her familiarity with the appearances of formal wizards is undoubtedly superior to his.

If even Little Six didn’t recognize this individual, his identity became even more enigmatic.

Since they couldn’t get any clues from his appearance, Angel then inquired about another matter: what did their shuttlecraft look like?

Recognizing faces wasn’t Angel’s strong suit, but when it came to identifying alchemical tools, he certainly had a knack for it.

Once Helen sketched out the appearance of the shuttlecraft, it seemed as though a light bulb went off in Angel’s mind.

He quickly manifested an illusion of the shuttle in front of Helen. Once she confirmed its accuracy, Angel was taken aback.

This shuttlecraft was unfamiliar to Angel, but he recognized its ignition mechanism. In the alchemy books he obtained from the Nightmare Plane’s Nightfall City, there was mention of a similar mechanism. Though it had been adapted in the shuttle’s design, the core principle remained unchanged.

The reason for Angel’s surprise was that this particular design was not popular in the Southern Region. A crucial ingredient in the mechanism——Coldwood Water, was absent from the Southern Region and its adjacent planes.

This specific material, coupled with this unique alchemical design, was generally popular among the wizards of the Northern Territory and Source World.

If we’re speaking in those terms, could it be that those people aren’t from the Southern Region? Instead, they hail from the Wizarding World of other planes?

While Angel was lost in thought, Little Six was conversing with Helen: “If they aren’t enemies of Silkvine, could they possibly have a grudge against Summer Dew Ridge and have shifted their revenge onto Silkvine instead?”

Helen pondered for a moment and then responded with uncertainty, shaking her head, “If they harbored resentment against Summer Dew Ridge, why didn’t they act against me? Moreover, at that time, both Silkvine and I were wearing ordinary clothes without any emblems representing Summer Dew Ridge.”

Little Six replied with a hint of confusion, “I see… then what could they possibly want by abducting Silkvine?”

An emblem? The conversation between Little Six and Helen reached Angel’s ears. After reflecting for a moment, he inquired, “Did they have any distinct rune markings or symbols on them?”

“Exactly!” Little Six’s eyes lit up with realization. “Even though I don’t know who that formal wizard is, if we can identify their emblem, we might be able to discern their origin, and then trace back to the corresponding organization or family!”

“Any distinct emblem?” Helen delved deep into her memories. But the event had occurred half a month ago. While she remembered their faces, she had overlooked many details.

As Helen struggled to recall, a refreshing sensation suddenly permeated her being, a cooling sensation that coursed straight to her mind. It felt like having cold water poured over oneself on a scorching summer day. Many of her scattered thoughts began to align coherently.

When Helen looked up, she noticed the shimmering light from Angel’s fingertip.

“It’s a minor illusion spell to assist you in recalling your memories,” Angel whispered softly.

Understanding Angel’s intent, Helen remained silent, capitalizing on her momentary clarity to introspectively recollect.

The scenes from her memory emerged like a series of paintings. Apart from the general outline and features, everything appeared blurred. However, as the cooling sensation sustained its presence in her mind, those fog-covered areas began to slowly clear, revealing previously elusive details.

Helen suddenly opened her eyes wide.

“I remember!”

“Although the group wore varying outfits, they all bore a similar emblem!”
