Chapter 1777 The Prophecy Fails <TOC> Chapter 1779 Flyers

Silkvine was not one of the followers, yet she has now been taken away by individuals suspected of being followers of the Bud. If one could employ prophecy spells to locate Silkvine, perhaps one could trace her to find those lunatics trading in death.
In doing so, they wouldn’t trigger the Bud’s prophecy shield.
Upon hearing Angel and Rosen’s thoughts, Apulia wholeheartedly agreed.
Previously, when Apulia sought to prophesy about the Bud, he actually had no substantial evidence or basis. He merely relied on a subjective clue, trying to fish for hints within the vast and endless River of Destiny. Even with the advantage of prophecy spells, the success rate was indeed relatively low.
It’s like a painter who has never seen a Griffin. If someone described a Griffin to him, could he truly capture its essence in his artwork?
Similarly, prophecy spells work the same way. Predicting out of thin air reduces the chance of a successful prophecy. But, if there’s a tangible reference or substantial evidence, one can navigate through the River of Destiny with clarity, and the success rate naturally increases.
Silkvine serves as a tangible proof they are aware of. Furthermore, since she had previously resided in Sky Mechanical City, she left many traces behind. Apulia could absolutely use these traces to search for Silkvine.
If they can find Silkvine, many mysteries would unfold.
Once this plan was established, Rosen immediately sent out individuals to find residual traces of Silkvine’s pheromones.
It didn’t take long for Melanctha to present a black feather. This feather, an evident characteristic of Silkvine’s fusion with the shadow goose bloodline in her half-beast form, carried minimal traces of the pheromone. Yet, due to its link with Silkvine’s bloodline, Apulia could still utilize it as a medium for his prophecy spellcasting.
Apart from the black feather, Melanctha also brought along Little Six and Helen.
These two were currently the ones in Sky Mechanical City who understood Silkvine the most. Apulia planned to converse with them to gather more details about Silkvine, which could potentially boost the success rate of his prophecies.
Little Six and Helen were brought here for two main purposes. Apart from conveying information about the Silkvine, there was another matter at hand.
That was to erase certain memories from them.
Although Little Six and Helen currently aren’t familiar with “the Bud”, they have seen the symbol representing it. It’s uncertain whether in the future they might deduce something about “the Bud” through this symbol.
As a precaution, it’s better to erase those memories directly.
Rosen’s suggestion was to erase all memories related to Silkvine’s disappearance and plant a false memory implying that Silkvine left of her own volition.
However, Angel felt this to be unnecessary. Helen’s own memory was already quite hazy. Initially, drawing the symbol of “the Bud” was influenced by Angel’s illusion magic, reminding her of it.
Therefore, it would suffice to just erase Helen’s memory regarding the symbol of “the Bud”, leaving everything else untouched.
In doing so, Helen won’t experience memory gaps or find her recollections to feel odd. Most importantly, this method wouldn’t damage their mental strength.
In the end, Rosen accepted Angel’s suggestion. Without them noticing, the memories of Little Six and Helen related to the symbol were all erased. They felt nothing during this process.
After Helen and Little Six recounted Silkvine’s matters to Apulia, Apulia nodded in the direction of the others and said, “We have gathered enough information about Silkvine. Additionally, with her feather in our possession, as long as there are no unforeseen complications, we should be able to trace her whereabouts using a divination spell.”
Apulia’s words illuminated hope in Helen’s eyes. Ever since he arrived in this metallic hall, she had been feeling quite anxious, unaware of why the disappearance of Silkvine even garnered the attention of Lord Rosen.
In her mind, a plethora of wild imaginations had made her feel dizzy. It wasn’t until Apulia mentioned the possibility of locating Silkvine using divination that she snapped back to reality.
Could they truly find Silkvine?
At a moment when Helen’s heart was filled with unease, Angel approached her.
“The wizard Apulia is about to begin his prophecy. We should leave to avoid disturbing him,” Angel articulated, leading them out of the metallic hall.
Outside the hall in the corridor, Helen looked to Angel, voicing the doubts from the depths of her heart.
“She can be found,” Angel replied. But before joy could light up Helen’s eyes, Angel added a sobering note, “However, whether she’s Alive or not remains uncertain.”
Seeing the wavering and confusion in Helen’s gaze, Angel softly consoled, “For now, you don’t need to concern yourself with other matters. Wait until we have the results.”
Helen nodded in understanding, adding, “And… thank you.”
The fact that Silkvine’s disappearance had garnered the attention of Lord Rosen and even prompted the prophecy wizard Apulia to intervene, the only explanation Helen could think of was Angel’s behind-the-scenes assistance.
Gratitude for Angel brimmed in Helen’s heart. With nothing tangible to offer in return, the only gesture she could muster was a sincere thank-you. She knew that even if Silkvine became aware of her gratitude, such a sentiment might seem trivial in Angel’s eyes.
Angel responded with a slight smile, offering little by way of words, and gestured for them to wait outside. He then opened the doors to the hall and entered.
By the time Angel returned to the grand chamber, Apulia’s prophecy was nearing its conclusion.
Apulia stood at the crux of interwoven destinies, surrounded by Silkvine’s black feather. The profound and mysterious aura that emanated from him gradually weakened until it vanished entirely.
Simultaneously, Apulia opened his eyes.
Unlike the somber mood following his previous prophecies, this time there was a notable difference. As soon as Apulia finished his prophecy, he stepped forward, his gaze clear and determined, devoid of earlier hesitations.
“I’ve found her!” Apulia announced with a hint of elation in his voice. “I’ve located Silkvine!”
Rosen stood up, inquiring, “Where is she?”
Apulia responded, “She’s currently in the void, and… She’s very close to us, most likely near the void corresponding to Sky Mechanical City.”
Near the void corresponding to Sky Mechanical City?
Rosen seemed to have a realization upon hearing Apulia’s words, and his gaze slowly shifted to Angel’s shoulder. A curious seabird, adorned in a tiny pleated skirt, looked around with an inquisitive tilt of its head…
…
Outside Infinite Battle Tower, Angel looked up.
Several streaks of golden light crossed the sky, heading towards the unknown void.
Without a doubt, these golden streaks represented Rosen and his group. Their destination pointed directly to the void, presumably searching for the followers of the Bud. From the moment he left Infinite Battle Tower, it took less than five minutes to assemble a combat team to enter the void. Their pace was impressively swift.
“My Lord?” a soft voice called out, emanating from Helen’s lips.
Angel turned his head, looking at the other side. Little Six supported a pale-faced Helen, and both gazed at Angel with an urgent expression.
“My Lord, have you received any news of Silkvine?”
Angel nodded gently, “Rest assured, we have news of Silkvine.”
Hope gleamed in Helen’s eyes, yet her expression remained filled with unease. The news of Silkvine: was she alive or had she… passed away?
The question hung heavily in Helen’s throat, but she dared not voice it.
Angel noticed Helen’s hesitation and offered a reassuring smile, “Based on the prophecy’s indication, she is still alive, at least for now.”
