After Muse spoke, he nodded to Angel, then, holding Rosen’s head, he promptly passed through the teleportation formation and headed to Enchanted Mechanical City. At the moment, he still had a plethora of tasks ahead, such as restoring Rosen’s physical body, tracking the traces of the Bud, guarding against the Bud’s further attacks, responding to the upper echelons of Sky Mechanical City… and so on.

Thus, Muse currently didn’t have much time to attend to Angel. He instructed Melanctha to take the others and leave the secret chamber, while he himself took the lead to depart.

Sanders gave Angel a pat on the shoulder and said, “It’s time to prepare to leave.”

Angel nodded in acknowledgment. The affairs related to the Bud were extensive. As a newly advanced wizard, even if he got involved, he wouldn’t be of much use. Moreover, Angel believed that a city like Sky Mechanical City, a combination of a wizard organization and trade center, would undoubtedly have contingency measures and hidden aces up its sleeve.

An organization with such deep roots possesses power that shouldn’t be underestimated.

Hence, he didn’t need to fret excessively.

Gloria glanced at Melanctha, whose eyes still seemed somewhat dazed, and whispered, “Thank you for your trouble.”

Melanctha gave a nod in response, “This way.”

She led the group to a corner of the chamber. Without revealing what she activated, everyone was enveloped in a radiant light. The next moment, they found themselves in a long corridor.

Angel took a quick look around, realizing he was familiar with this hallway. The adjacent hall likely leads directly to the Boundless Arena, meaning this place is located in the mid-section of Infinite Battle Tower——at the 100th floor.

After sensing the presence in the hall ahead, Melanctha slightly furrowed her brows, “There’s a dense crowd up ahead. I’ll guide you out through an alternate passage.”

The crowd seemed indifferent, nodding in understanding. They comprehended Melanctha’s predicament. After all, Melanctha was a core member of Infinite Battle Tower. Given the bizarre events unfolding, if Melanctha were to venture out, she would undoubtedly be surrounded and interrogated. Moreover, since the core members hadn’t reached a unified stance, it wasn’t prudent for her to appear in public. Besides, Melanctha’s current state was far from ideal, so there was no need for her to forcefully present herself.

Melanctha led the group through a silent corridor. Roughly half a minute later, they reached a sealed-off alley. With a gentle touch on the wall, Melanctha transformed its solid facade into one resembling malleable clay saturated with moisture. The wall rippled and gradually transformed into a grand gateway.

Beyond the door, vast stretches of drifting white clouds awaited.

“We should be on our way,” Gloria said, patting Melanctha on the shoulder before she and the rest sequentially departed.

Angel was the last to leave. As he prepared to step through the grand entrance, Melanctha’s sudden call stopped him in his tracks. Turning around, he met her gaze, clouded with uncertainty.

After a moment’s pause, Melanctha deeply bowed to Angel. “I’ve been informed by the city’s lord,” she began, her voice tinged with a somber note. “Had you not entered the hall promptly, the city’s lord might have… Thank you.”

Melanctha’s voice held a depth of sorrow, coupled with palpable guilt. In the midst of the chaos, she had assumed that Rosen had been fatally struck by an arrow. In her daze, she had staggered and left the hall in a panic.

Had it not been for Angel’s timely intervention, perhaps in another ten or twenty seconds, Rosen might have met his end.

If such a tragedy had indeed occurred, Melanctha would have lived her entire life in self-blame. She might have been critical of Rosen’s callousness and cold demeanor, but no matter his faults, he remained her father. She never dared to fathom the sudden death of Rosen, let alone one indirectly caused by her. Such a realization would genuinely shatter her.

Thus, in saving Rosen, Angel had, in a way, also rescued Melanctha’s distressed spirit and soul.

Angel looked at Melanctha, who was bowing and saluting him, and was involuntarily reminded of the many events at Sky Tower from years ago, his gaze becoming somewhat intricate.

Finally, in a soft voice, Angel said, “It’s alright.”

He then turned to embrace the once again clear azure sky.

Soon after, Angel caught up with his mentor and the others. They didn’t ask why he was a step behind. However, Gloria, out of curiosity, inquired, “What did Melanctha say to you?”

Angel responded nonchalantly, “If you were still the same person I once knew, you wouldn’t be so interested in such gossip. The influence of this body on you is profound.”

Taken aback, Gloria seemed lost in thought, perhaps pondering the harmony between her soul and her body. After some time, she retorted, “Are you trying to change the subject?”

Angel replied, “No.”

After some reflection, Gloria decided not to press further on what Melanctha and Angel might have discussed, thinking it probably wasn’t of significant importance.

Once Gloria had turned away, Angel took out a communicator, noticing that Melanctha seemed to be sending some information. He glanced at the content, which appeared to be related to… Baroque.

As the distant horizon was tinted with hues of crimson, Muse finally stopped what he was doing to look at the tall man opposite him.

His mechanical body, shining with a silvery-white sheen, emanated an eerie glow. Even as he stood still, there was an undeniable aura of commanding presence about him.

“The basics are already done, but the material for the lifelike skin is too elusive,” said Muse. “This is a delicate operation; I might need to attach it for you later on.”

The man opposite turned, revealing a young and handsome face.

It was none other than Rosen.

Rosen commented, “No need. This so-called lifelike skin is merely a cosmetic veil. It’s of no real use to me.”

As he spoke, Rosen donned a golden wizard’s robe.

Muse suggested, “Actually, considering your previous mechanical shell was shattered, perhaps you should seize this opportunity to adopt an actual flesh body. I still have the remains of your former physical limbs here. Using the cell proliferation method, I can cultivate a new body for you.”

Rosen gave a cold shake of his head, “No need.”

Muse, with a playful tone, said, “Don’t reject the idea so swiftly. At the very least, let me cultivate a reproductive system for you. It would allow you to experience the pleasures of being a man again.” As he said this, he placed a hand on Rosen’s shoulder, giving him a knowing “only real men understand” look.

Rosen gave a chilly smile, not even deigning to respond.

“I’m heading back to Infinite Battle Tower,” Rosen stated, “The incident with the Bud happened rather abruptly. I have many issues to attend to. I’m also concerned about Melanctha.” With that, he prepared to leave.

Muse hesitated for a moment, “Wait.”

Rosen, expressionless, turned to face him, waiting for him to continue.

Muse inquired, “I just wanted to ask… How is your Magic Vortex now?”

“The collapse has been temporarily halted, but a complete recovery and stabilization will take time,” Rosen replied. “You need not worry about it. Later on, I’ll get in touch with Midora to see if he can assist.” After nodding to Muse, Rosen’s figure dissolved into countless points of light, vanishing from Enchanted Mechanical City.

After Rosen’s departure, a light blue sprite appeared at the entrance of the Creation Hall.
