Deep into the night, within Sridhar’s antique shop.

Sanders sat in a serene study, his quill pen swiftly writing down critical information he had obtained from Sridhar on a piece of parchment.

Upon finishing the last character, Sanders finally looked up to see the person seated opposite him——Angel.

Angel had been there for about ten minutes, but because Sanders was engrossed in his recording, Angel had remained silent so as not to interrupt.

“You’ve come to see me because Muse has sent some new information?” Sanders inquired.

“No,” Angel responded, shaking his head. He then handed over a communication device, thin as a sheet of paper, to Sanders, signaling for him to look at its content.

Lowering his gaze, Sanders observed the device, where Angel had already displayed the content from a message sent by Melanctha.

The main subject was about Baroque’s intentions and requests concerning the Savage Grottoes.

Angel remarked, “Melanctha sent this to me when I was leaving Infinite Battle Tower.”

After reading, Sanders mused aloud, “You saved Rosen. Perhaps Melanctha is offering this information as a form of gratitude.”

Angel theorized similarly, “Perhaps. However, I believed it was important to inform Mentor about Baroque’s actions… or maybe present it to Lord Rhine.”

Handing back the communication device to Angel, Sanders commented in a noncommittal tone, “There’s no need. Lord Rhine is already well aware of Baroque’s objectives.”

Angel paused momentarily, reflecting on the situation. Indeed, Baroque hailed from Sky Mechanical City and was a formal wizard. His sudden desire to oversee Sky Tower in the Savage Grottoes seemed oddly suspicious. The senior leadership of the Savage Grottoes must have carried out a thorough investigation into Baroque; otherwise, they wouldn’t have permitted him to stay in the underground market.

Upon reflection, it seems natural for Lord Rhine Mute to be aware of Baroque’s intentions.

Angel sighed, retracting his communication device, and said with a wry smile, “It appears my visit this time was in vain.”

Sanders commented, “It’s not entirely a wasted effort. While Baroque’s intention to enter the Soul Garden is overt, some plans of Baroque’s mentioned by Melanctha are unknown to us.”

Angel responded, “I’ve reviewed those plans as well. Even if we were unaware, the likelihood of Baroque successfully implementing them isn’t high. That is, unless he can shield them from the perception of Tree Spirit.”

Sanders just chuckled, without retorting, and queried, “Is there anything else?”

Angel initially wanted to inquire when Sanders planned to once again accommodate the power of the Wilderness of Dreams, but decided against it. When Sanders was ready, he would naturally seek Angel out.

“There’s nothing else,” Angel stood up, preparing to leave, “I should be on my way.”

However, just as Angel turned around, a rhythmic ‘thud, thud, thud’ echoed.

Angel first glanced at the main door, which was still and undisturbed. He then silently reached into his pocket and pulled out a silver, gear-shaped button.

As expected, the button was faintly glowing. The consistent ‘thud, thud, thud’ was emanating from it.

“It seems Director Muse has some new information,” Angel paused his departure, sitting back down. News from Director Muse was surely about the Bud, and it would do no harm for Sanders to be privy to it.

Sanders, initially engrossed in his research, now shifted his attention to Angel.

Swiftly, Angel set up the mini signal tower. The light on the tower blinked continuously, signaling persistently.

Engaging with the complex buttons of the device, Angel suddenly froze after a short while.

Noticing the unusual behavior, Sanders quickly inquired, “What’s the matter?”

Angel furrowed his brows, remarking, “Something’s wrong. I probed the mechanical core with my mental power and inspected the light-shadow transmission formation within. I found that it isn’t the previous transmission segment that’s flashing.”

The reception mechanism of the mini signal tower is its built-in light-shadow transmission formation. On this light-shadow transmission formation, there are thousands of transmission segments, capable of receiving signals from the thousands of locations where signal towers have been installed.

The transmission segment that Angel had previously received corresponded to the signal tower of Sky Mechanical City.

However, this time, the transmission segment associated with the mini signal tower did not originate from Sky Mechanical City.

“Where does it come from?” Sanders, evidently familiar with the workings of the mini signal tower, inquired with curiosity.

“I’m unsure,” Angel replied, shaking his head. Although he had just obtained the mini signal tower and had studied its internal structure, he hadn’t yet delved into its transmission segments.

Sanders postulated, “Your mini signal tower corresponds to a private transmission segment. Typically, external signal towers can’t connect to it. Unless, this mini signal tower has previously initiated contact with the other party.”

This implies that the entity contacting this mini signal tower could very well be a friend of Director Muse. However, this individual might be unaware that Director Muse has temporarily entrusted the mini signal tower to Angel.

Upon this realization, Angel was caught in a quandary: should he establish the connection or not?

In the end, Angel chose to connect. He manipulated his mental power to project the transmission segment onto the light screen.

Angel’s rationale was straightforward: no matter who the other party was, he’d directly inform them that the ownership of the mini signal tower had temporarily changed hands.

Soon, the light screen materialized before him. With the provision of energy, the light-shadow transmission formation projected the real-time light-shadow information onto the screen.

To Angel’s surprise, both the scene and the person appearing on the light screen were familiar to him.

In the pristine white grand hall, a woman, as ethereal as a flower atop a high peak, exhibiting an air of aloofness, was gazing quietly in this direction.

Her silver hair and icy eyes resembled age-old icebergs. Merely exchanging glances through the transparent screen was enough to involuntarily send chills to the depths of one’s soul.

“Lady Isabelle,” Angel whispered her name with reverence.

“Why is it you? Where’s Muse?” Isabelle noticed that on the other side of the screen was Angel and not Muse, which slightly tempered her frosty demeanor.

“Director Muse has temporarily entrusted me with the mini signal tower,” Angel explained. “If you wish to contact Director Muse…”

Before Angel could finish, Isabelle interjected, “There’s no need. My initial intent was to reach out to you through Muse. Since the signal tower is with you, it’s even more convenient.”

“You sought me out?” Angel queried, looking perplexedly at Isabelle.

“To be precise, it wasn’t me who sought you,” Isabelle clarified. As she spoke, she suddenly rose from her seat, moving out of the screen’s view.

Immediately following this, a little girl donning a pink dress floated down from the top of the screen. With a face resembling a speckled egg due to her freckles, she pressed her nose curiously against the screen.

“Ah! I can really see it!” The little girl pointed at the screen, turning her head in a certain direction. Shortly after, Isabelle’s voice echoed from that direction——

“You can share whatever is on your mind with Angel.”

The little girl immediately pivoted, uttering timidly: “Brother Pat!”
