Angel settled languidly into the plush sofa, deeply inhaling the cool, fragrant air before slowly opening his pale golden eyes to look at Totoro across from him.

“You said you had something to find me for?” Angel queried.

Totoro nodded, “Yes, I’ve seen a… a vision.”

Before Totoro could finish, Angel interrupted, “Another vision? About me?”

After receiving a confirming nod from Totoro, Angel’s brows furrowed as he muttered under his breath, “Why is it that both you and Sparrow Blossom speak of seeing visions of me?”

“Have I become a regular show for the Laudsourcians, with live updates no less?” Angel sarcastically thought to himself. Looking up at a puzzled Totoro, he said, “Never mind, go on.”

As Totoro was about to continue, Angel cut him off again, “Wait, since you’re talking about a vision, it’s better to just reveal it directly instead of speaking.”

“Reveal?” Totoro, confused, watched as Angel nonchalantly flicked a wisp of Nightmare aura toward Totoro’s forehead.

Normally, one would dodge such an action due to the significance of the forehead, but Totoro stood still without blinking, letting the Nightmare aura merge into his brow.

As the Nightmare aura entered his body, Totoro felt his thoughts become clearer, and the world seen through his eyes began to shift.

The colors he saw were more vibrant than ever, as if an aura had enveloped his retina, constantly deepening the color correction of his vision.

Apart from a change in colors, there was nothing particularly special about it. Just as Totoro was about to ask a question, Angel made a light waving motion with his hand, and a glowing white board appeared right in front of him.

This white board resembled an artist’s canvas, seemingly waiting for a painter to fill it with colors.

Totoro, looking at the white board, seemed to realize something.

“This is a little trick of illusion magic; you might call it an ‘Illusion Canvas’. It is linked to your pupils and can be controlled by the nightmarish aura from your third eye. You only need to think about it in your mind, and just…” Angel had only gotten halfway through his explanation when he stopped. On the white board in front of Totoro, a complete scene had already appeared.

It was precisely the scene Totoro had described earlier, the image of Angel traversing the Sky Bridge towards Phantom Island in his current form.

“Is it like this?” Totoro asked.

Angel: “… Yes.”

Angel’s expression was calm, but his heart was not so serene. Although this Illusion Canvas was a simple trick he had thought up on the spot, and not very difficult, being a spell that projects thoughts through a Nightmare projection, achieving a perfect recreation was not so easy.

In Angel’s view, it would take Totoro at least ten minutes of practice to be barely able to present an image on the Illusion Canvas.

But Totoro had managed to do it instantly, which was enough to indicate that Totoro had extraordinary concentration and very pure and clean thinking. This is because many people’s thoughts are too cluttered; when projected onto the white board, the images would be somewhat disordered. For example, someone wanting to draw a lotus root might end up drawing a pale arm instead, and if their thoughts were even more chaotic, the result would be indescribable.

Moreover, Totoro’s mastery and expressive ability with colors were extremely strong. For a painter who wants to make a scene come alive, the pairing of colors is very important. Although the Illusion Canvas does not require various color mixings, presenting reality necessitates a deep understanding of colors.

Angel does not believe that Totoro will have time to learn painting during this period, that is to say, it is his… gift.

Angel looked deeply at Totoro, recognizing that the Laudsourcians truly are the most favored race by the heavens.

“Since you already know how to operate it, continue painting,” Angel said, no longer offering explanation, allowing Totoro to exercise his own imagination.

Totoro nodded, shifting his gaze from Angel and focusing intently on the whiteboard.

The scene previously displayed on the whiteboard now appeared as if washed away by a heavy rain, slowly dissolving out of sight. However, the pristine whiteboard did not remain so for long; a new scene gradually emerged.

It was an extremely harrowing scene.

The earth was fissured, life withered, countless dark chasms crisscrossed, occupying most of the scene, extending all the way to the horizon.

The sky was a blood-red, resembling both the profound glow of sunset and a blood mist ignited by fire. In the center of this scarlet expanse, a gigantic solitary eye surveyed the world below.

“Is this the scene you saw?” Angel asked Totoro, puzzled.

Totoro nodded.

“You say this concerns me? But where am I?” Angel scrutinized the scene, unable to find any trace of himself.

Totoro replied, “In the scene I saw, there were no humans. I don’t know where the Lord is, but I can be certain that this scene is definitely related to the Lord.”

Angel accepted this explanation, for there was no reason for Totoro to deceive him.

Given Totoro claims that this vision relates to itself, it surely must be connected in some way. Yet… as Angel meticulously examines each detail within the vision, he still cannot discern what the vision seeks to express, nor does he know the location depicted within it.

Angel asks, “Do you know where this place in the vision is?”

Totoro shakes its head.

“Is it in the Vast Continent?”

Totoro continues to shake its head, only having seen the vision without knowledge of the actual location.

Angel wonders, “Then… could this vision be meaningless, like the one you showed earlier?”

After some thought, Totoro responds, “I believe this vision has meaning.”

Although Totoro’s “belief” lacks any evidence and is purely speculative; as a creature of prophecy, its “belief” might well represent the truth.

This vision might indeed hold a significance that is currently beyond his understanding.

Angel refocuses on the vision, attempting to unearth some clues: “Hmm… it has a somewhat apocalyptic aura, has there been some catastrophe? Is the source of the disaster the eye in the sky? Or does this eye symbolize something else?”

Despite looking for a long time, Angel still comes up empty-handed.

Crucially, with no understanding of the context behind the vision, it remains difficult for him to speculate on its deeper meaning.

“It has to do with me, it has to do with me… Could it be, this backdrop is actually…” the Wilderness of Dreams? Angel murmured this name to himself.

However, he soon dismissed the thought. The ground in the scene, although cracked, showed some wild beasts and plants; this was not the scenario of the Wilderness of Dreams. Besides, Angel was naturally familiar with the Wilderness of Dreams; he found the backdrop of this scene utterly unfamiliar.

In the end, Angel was at his wit’s end, having gained nothing.

After some thought, he decided it would be better to ask others later, like Sanders, or those who were knowledgeable about geography.
