A fleeting moment, as if a galaxy was being poured in reverse.

The scene before him, while astounding Angel, also afforded him the opportunity to observe at close range.

However, when he cautiously extended his mental tendrils to probe, just like before, he could not detect the surrounding galaxy with his mental power.

As if these light points did not exist in the space before his eyes.

But his naked eyes could see this scene, and according to Nausica and Toby’s statement, they could see it too. That is to say, it indeed interfered with the material world, leaving traces, yet it seemed to not exist within the material world, but as a higher dimensional entity, impossible to locate.

Angel sighed, aware of his current limitations. He knew he was not equipped to systematically study the Heavenly Eye. Given this, he decided to cease his efforts and quietly wait for it to conclude.

During his wait, Angel’s thoughts raced.

The situation was clear now. Planar fusion indeed induced anomalies in the Heavenly Eye, even if he did not approach the fusion area. Merely opening a passage near the fusion would result in the current scene.

This showed that his initial decision to stay away from the planar fusion was correct.

On the flip side, even if the Heavenly Eye was separated by a world, if it sensed planar fusion, it would strive to absorb some strange energy produced during the fusion. Thus, it must urgently need this energy.

What exactly was this energy absorbed by the Heavenly Eye during planar fusion? And what changes would occur in the Heavenly Eye after absorbing a certain amount of it? These questions piqued his curiosity.

Moreover, the Heavenly Eye was the culprit that made Jon transmigrate dimensions. Could it be that when it has absorbed enough energy, it would initiate transmigration again, going from the Wizarding World to Earth, or to an even more distant unknown place?

If that was the case, Angel suddenly felt that the Heavenly Eye floating in the air before him was like a hot potato.

He was curious about Earth. In fact, he had even set a new goal earlier: if possible, he would take Jon back to Earth.

But Jon was not with him now, and he really did not believe that once the Heavenly Eye was activated, it could truly transmigrate to Earth. After all, the Heavenly Eye had randomly appeared on Earth, and for it, Earth might be just a transfer station. Its final destination was certainly not Earth.

Thus, even if Angel yearns to venture to Earth, he would be meticulously studying the Heavenly Eye, endeavoring to seize any Earth-related information and coordinates contained within, only daring to personally embark on the journey once he possesses absolute certainty. He would not surrender himself to the whims of fate, allowing destiny to carry him adrift.

Just how much energy does the Heavenly Eye necessitate? Will it truly activate autonomously?

At this moment, Angel is suddenly gripped by the desire to remove the Heavenly Eye.

The heart-pounding ordeal does not last long, approximately two minutes pass and the “Galactic Inversion” concludes. The Heavenly Eye seems to show no indications of “activation”; instead, it appears to gradually descend with the dissipation of the surrounding luminescence.

Transitioning from an abrupt levitation back to normalcy.

Observing the Heavenly Eye returning to its docile state, Angel breathes a sigh of relief, it seems that his previous worries about the Eye abruptly activating and whisking him away… such imagined scenarios, should not materialize.

However, the Heavenly Eye doesn’t seem to completely settle down.

Within the irregularly shaped glass orb, a warm glow continues to flicker slowly. The intermittent luminosity lends an eerie undertone to the darkness of the cave.

“Is this basking in the afterglow? Or is it transmitting some sort of message?” Angel muttered under his breath. He had once been engrossed in Fivenda’s —Strange Worlds—, which recorded a species of intelligent life that resembled fireflies, small in size and luminous.

At that time, no wizard who visited that world paid any heed to these “fireflies”, at most considering them as insects. Yet for reasons unknown — out of boredom or some other purpose — Fivenda observed these luminous creatures for a while. He documented their habits and, after summarizing, he discovered these beings communicate through the frequency and duration of their bioluminescence. Their communication was logically rigorous, and their knowledge structure was largely complete, in no way inferior to humans. Eventually, Fivenda classified them as an intelligent race.

Hence, witnessing this rhythmic radiance, Angel thought of the Firefly Tribe in —Strange Worlds—.

Unfortunately, even if the light emitted by the Heavenly Eye was indeed conveying a message, Angel couldn’t decipher it at the moment.

Shaking his head, he sighed.

Just then, the ground abruptly trembled!

Angel lifted his head, scrutinizing his surroundings with confusion. The next second, a thunderous, terrifying roar suddenly echoed from the distance——

From the perspective of direction, the roar seems to have emanated right from the heart of Whispering Wind Valley. Notably, this roar carried no intimidating pressure, yet it struck an inexplicable terror in the soul!

A formidable beast! An absolutely powerful beast!

Even in a place known as a ‘Refuge’ like Whispering Wind Valley, unforeseen changes can transpire?!

As Angel hears the beast’s roar, he instinctively begins to contemplate countermeasures. This underground cave has but one exit, escape would mean confronting the beast — could it be that staying hidden would be a better option?

Or perhaps…

Angel glances in the direction of the interplanar passage passage.

His pupils suddenly contract in surprise — the interplanar passage passage is gone without a trace!

Does this mean the interplanar passage passage has failed? Could it be that Sanders was banished?

Angel’s mind is suddenly thrown into a whirlpool of confusion. A powerful beast has seemingly made an appearance in the external world, and at the same time, the ‘hope’ he had been waiting for most of the day has vanished——

Amidst this confusion and anxiety, the Heavenly Eye continues to emit a flickering glow.

Unconsciously, Angel extends his hand to block the light that disturbs his thoughts.

However, just as his hand comes into contact with the Heavenly Eye–

The Heavenly Eye suddenly emits a blinding white light, the radiance flowing out from between his fingers like he’s holding an about-to-explode light source.

Before Angel can even grasp what’s happening, he realizes that he can no longer feel the presence of his physical body.

All that’s left is a thread of spiritual light, silently floating upwards.

Continuously floating upwards, upwards… Angel isn’t sure if his perceived ‘up’ direction is accurate, but he does indeed have the illusion of his spiritual light ascending.

In such a state, he’s not even able to effectively perceive logical thought. Previous worries, the situation with Sanders, the safety of the interplanar passage passage, what the beast outside is… all these concerns vanish, or perhaps more accurately, given his current situation, he simply doesn’t have the mental capacity to ponder these issues.

How long this feeling of ascension lasts, Angel cannot tell. Maybe it’s long, maybe it’s short, for he has no concept of time.

Until such time, Angel made contact with a luminescent barrier.

This formation, seemingly ethereal, yet hindered his ascension. Before long, an uncanny power seeped from within the formation — a power that Angel found vaguely familiar, bearing a subtle resonance with the specks of light previously emanating from the Heavenly Eye.

Guided by this unusual power, all Angel perceived was a soft ‘pop’.

His spiritual light pierced the luminescent barrier——

In an instant, it was as if a firework had burst forth in the depths of Angel’s consciousness, a sense of relief and explosion that could only be felt but not described, propelled Angel into a…new world!

A bizarre world it was, surrounded by an inky darkness, yet brimming with an exquisite aura.

Upon Angel’s spiritual light reaching this world, memories, experiences, ways of thought, logical reasoning… all began to be read anew.

Yes, read. That was the only word Angel could think of.

It was as if he had become the protagonist in some of the Earth novels he had read, being cast into a holographic world, a clean slate at the outset until the memories and thoughts from reality were loaded and read, only then did he regain his agility, his thoughts in sync with reality.

While his existence was still confined to his spiritual light, sans a physical body, the prior loading and reading enabled him to think and tap into his past memories.

He was still Angel.

Yet, something was different.

Here, Angel felt void of any emotional fluctuations. According to his memory habits, he should be astonished, shocked upon seeing this peculiar world, his thoughts should be fluctuating, doubting, and wildly imaginative.

All these supposed emotions were absent.

Perhaps, the emotional module wasn’t loaded.

Angel was now utterly calm, one could even say indifferent. Indifferent to the external events, indifferent to the mysteries of the Heavenly Eye, and indifferent to this peculiar world as if it was all a norm to him.

He transmigrated to this peculiar world, incapable of sensing any physical entities, such as his own body.

All he could perceive was the cognitive space, the land of souls, and the sea of thoughts! These were the most illusory places within the human body, seemingly internal, yet seemingly beyond the material world.

While Angel’s physical perception is presently beyond reach, he is still capable of manipulating the mysterious energy that resides within the mental formation. The twist of fate is such that this magical prowess is confined within the confines of the mental formation, unable to traverse into this bizarre dimension.

Angel, consequently, sets forth in a particular direction within this strange world.

His movement isn’t aimless; instead, he is drawn by the unique energy that once guided his spiritual light into this peculiar universe, which he senses to be in that very direction.

As Angel ‘walks’, he comes to the realization that he is not truly engaged in bipedal locomotion. Instead, he is engaging in a mode of translocation that far transcends ordinary comprehension.

It might be best described as a slight displacement within the spatio-temporal coordinate system.

I think, therefore I arrive.

Without stirring the slightest trace of disturbance, Angel finds himself standing before a peculiar energy core.

This energy core before his eyes lacks any discernible form, remaining elusive regardless of the means employed to locate it. Yet inexplicably, Angel knows it to be present.

It’s an understanding as profound as it is elusive. If this were Angel in the physical dimension, he’d probably pepper the situation with an onslaught of his characteristically playful inquiries.

Angel perceives the presence of the energy core, standing before it in stoic silence, bereft of emotional ripples.

He knows he cannot touch this unique power. Nevertheless, he is aware that this peculiar energy, which led him here, might harbor some sort of purpose.

Of course, there might be no purpose at all. It could be merely an invitation to explore this extraordinary world.

It’s akin to Bruen’s desire to resurrect the Lovecraftian Old Ones in his world. Labeling them as ‘Old Ones’ doesn’t necessarily imply intrinsic malevolence. Their actions, devoid of a discernible purpose, resulted in mass extinction of sentient life in the Lovecraftian world, and thus, they were branded as the ‘Old Ones’.

Regardless of the truth, Angel, for now, harbors no desire to probe this peculiar universe. He is merely interested to observe what this unique energy, presumably linked with the Heavenly Eye, intends to do
